Derik, Louis, and I are at the back of our school with our next victim. Well this is just a hobby I usually do when I'm bored.

"Give us your lunch money, sack bag.. Or you'll never see your dear bag." Derik holding his bag up tossing it around..

"D*** give me my bag!" he was squealing. Very hilarious to look at.

"Come on you are better than just jumping frog.." Louis is now pissing him off.

The nerd attacked me and it ended up into a fight he regret.. I gave him a punch in the face bringing him to a knock out. "What a weakling.. Next time don't test our patience or else you'll see your self running n***d" threatening him, he better be watching out or he'll not like it next time..

"FRITZ! FALLON! BAXTER! TO MY OFFICE NOW!" Principal saw us or just a stick just reported us..

"What have you been doing mr. Fritz, you are top of your class before what happened to you?" does she even have to know

"If you three don't fix your actions sooner. I might remove you from the basketball team." principal said

"WHAT?!" three of us in unison

I started thinking of a way to fix it. In a way that we won't lose our credibility as players of the team.

"No you can't do that!" Derik demanded

Think Ash..

"My dad's going to kill me.." Louis apprehended

Yes! I think I know now..

"Go remove us and it's not our problem if this school loses next championship" I confidently say.

As you can see this school have been champion for that last 5 games and if they remove the three best players of the team the school would lose and their dignity will sunk into the pits..

"Hmm.. Wise of you to speak up Mr. Fritz and very confident indeed.." she looked at us and smirked..

"Well?" sarcastically acting..

"Then you are right, I will not remove you.. But you will get detention for the rest of the week!" I shrugged my shoulders and left the office..

"Dude what were you thinking.. I have a date after class!" Louis complaining

"That's just a date but that was a safe call though nice thinking Ash."

We walked our way back to our rooms when suddenly..

*hmmpf*

Books fell..

A sheer glass shattered all over the floor.

Everything went slow

Blue eyes and dark brown. Freckles kissing her skin. She looks like a goddess.

"Sorry.."a girl bumped into us.

"You better watch were you're going miss. You might bump to someone unexpected" Louis aggressively bumped her aside

"Hey, that's a girl you should've done that.." Derik said.

"Who cares she's blocking our way." Louis reply

"Let's go Ash or we'll be late" Derik and Louis went ahead of me. I was looking at her and she was struggling..

I wanted to help her for a second there but I thought twice knowing I was with my friends. Total jerks aren't they.

"Hey.. Man I need to pss go ahead" excising myself to have an opportunity to help her.

Unfortunately when I came back I can hear her crying from afar. Blood was dripping from her fingers. Did she touched the her eye glass..

"You're bleeding miss, you need to go to the clinic." I suggest

She whimpers and smiled. I helped her with her books. She looks light and beautiful even she cries.

"Samantha.." she says

"What?" I think she's introducing herself.. Oh come on why so stpid

"My name is Samantha, you can call me Sam" her smile it lighten the inner me.

I smiled back and lend her a hand "Ashton.. you can call me Ash" and we stood there in the quiet hallway I felt like it was just the two of us alone..

Never felt so happy and excited the moment I saw her.

"Okay, Ms. Samantha better wear this contacts for the meantime since your glasses broke. These are my extra once since we have the same eyesight" the nurse smiled.

"Oh thank you.." I can sense that she was okay.. When we were about to head out but the moment I opened the door in our surprise someone expected to came in.

"Ash! We've been looking for you. Coach Harmon is looking for us" It was Derik.

"The principal's assistant said you went here and..ohh" Louis and Derik pointed out to Sam when they saw her standing outside the nurse's office.

"You've been with--" Derik was about to speculate so I needed an escape plan.

"You said coach was looking for us..So let's go." I grabbed the two out of the clinic and they were still trying to look back.

"Was that the girl who.." Louis trying to figure out.

"No and none of your business" I interrupted

We arrived at the gym and changed our clothes to our jerseys at the lockers .

"You like her?" Louis asked

"No.." I replied

"You do."Derik pursuing

They were still making a fuss about it. On the court they still interrogate me about Sam.

"You better be careful Ash, what if Lexi finds out?" Derik says.

He pass the ball to me and dribble it couple before passing it to Louis

"Yeah, bro better watch out.You know Lexi.." is he threatening me? I know her alright

Lexi or should I say Alexis Portman. We've known her since middle school and we've been dating (no label) for years now. No touch, no kiss and none ever. I never liked her but for the sake she doesn't tell her Daddy dear to cut ties with my dad just because I dumped her.. It was all business that made this fckd up.

"What about Lexi.." I pass the ball to Derik.. He pass it back to me..

"End things with her.. We'll keep your dear girl safe" that sounds promising. I know my friends they wouldn't do anything stupid unless I or we say so.

I shoot the ball and faced them "What's to end when there was nothing to start with.." we all laughed..

Louis brushed off my hair and Derik tackling me.."That's our man.. Anyways who's that girl" Louis asked

"Her name's Samantha.. Samantha Carter" she's going to be my girl and dating her would be a challenge since my background here at school doesn't go well with her outlook..

"Okay that's a wrap!" Coach Harmon gathered everyone on a meeting. Anyways we have a championship to win this year and we are beating the neighboring school just within the area ..

It was detention after practice. We had to make an excuse from coach since we supposedly need an hour for practice instead we get 30 minutes..

Detention started boring since the teacher in charge to watch us was just sleeping. And later that moment the door opened.

"Is this the detention room?" a familiar voice woke me up.

"Yes and you are?" the teacher asked

"Samantha Carter.." she handed the slip to the teacher.

"Ohh did the principal asked you to give this." she nodded in response.

"Oh well detention is over for you three but not for you Mr. Andrews.." teacher said

"What?" dismayed with what was said..

Louis rushed his way out and we know already where he's going (to his date). Derik went ahead of me and said he's going to help his mom do her groceries.

"Ash.." my heart beats faster the moment she spoke..

"Oh, you're still there?" pretending like I didn't notice. Man, she's all that I see.

"Yes, are you free?" she asked. Oh come on, I should be asking this.

"Yeah, why?" start up with a serious tone don't squeal. I could my hand sweat..

"Want to have some burgers and fries? There's a diner nearby.. I just wanted to thank you for helping me." I felt my ego been hit but it didn't hurt that much instead I felt flattered..

"Ah, really you know you really don't.." I am getting loose, I felt uncomfortable now..

She looks so cute with that shy face. I just wanted to kiss her right there.

"Please, I insist" very persuasive.. I smiled and just nodded in response.

We head to a nearby diner to eat some burgers and fries. I wanted to impress her but she caught me off guard.

"So.. Tell me what brought you here. I mean what brought you to our school?" she looked at me blankly and that beautiful smiling face turned serious.

She looked away for a sec and smiled.

"My dad got transferred to another company branch. So to live nearby we have to move from Arizona to here." she explains.

"How about you, tell me something about you Ash." she smiles.

"Ahh I think nothing much. Basketball and hoops.. Trying to save up for college.." proudly saying but yeah, I actually am saving up for my future instead of depending from my dad and sister.

"Oh.. Good for you.." she gave me a warm smile and reply..

She's okay though but her beauty really caught me off guard. And she's eating her burger comfortably..

I noticed the ketchup stain on her cheeks. I wanted to wipe it off but I was taking control of myself. I don't want to rush things.

Get to know her Ash don't rush things.

"Uhmm. Sam I think you have" pointing to the side where the ketchup is.

"Ohh I'm sorry.." she laughed and it sounded cute

We had a couple of topics we talked about. It was a good hour with her. We have the things that we are compatible with and stuff that we aren't but she it doesn't even bother her. She loves reading books and watching movies, her favorite sport is soccer and she hates peanuts (allergice to it). As soon we are done we head out and I was thinking of keeping the level up.

"May I drive you home?" I asked.

"Sure, you may sir Ash. " she laughed. I felt butterfly in stomach. It feels weird in a great way.

We arrived at their house and noticed that she lives the same neighborhood I am at.

"You are just a few blocks from my house" I said.

"Then you can visit me anytime Ash." she says with no hint of sarcasm. That was genuine!

I grin and waved goodbye.. I slowed down just to make sure she gets in. I can see her waving from the mirror..

I felt joy and happiness.

I got home and as always Dad wasn't around. Left a voicemail instead.

"I'm working late please take your dinner before going to bed" vm ended.

"You never stayed here only mom's here she'll surely take care of me"

"Mom where are you.. You've been gone for three days now.."

I looked up my phone and saw our pictures.. "Sam look so beautiful in this photo how about I make it my wallpaper.."
