There was no better time for her heart to beat than that moment and when it did it came in two large thuds. Loud enough for him to hear .
Like the last piece of a puzzle, his words were the perfect fit , she kept guessing what rogue had attacked him, confused if it was hers or another. She had specifically asked them to lay low for the moment before attacking but apparently few among them had a mind of their own. Attacking him was so close to their hideout was a risk and a stupid thing to do.
"Did they get anything from you?" Teal asked .
"They tried ..." Jason said smiling and punched his hands in the air . "But I kissed their asses."
"Were you able to recognize any of them?" Teal asked again, curious to know if she had suspected anything..
