ARIANA’S POV
My heart skidded to an abrupt stop as my breath hitched. I shot up from the chair, clutching the phone tighter. “Collapsed?” I whispered, my chest constricting painfully. “Where? How? When?”
“I-I don’t know. Just come to Cherry Gardens. Quick!” her frantic voice echoed in my ears before the line went dead.
The air around me started to feel heavy and I didn’t waste any more time. I dashed out to the driveway, my pulse running faster than my thoughts. I didn’t even stop to think; I just knew I had to get to him.
“Driver!” I called out, my voice shaking as I rushed towards one of the cars parked outside.
“Yes, ma’am?” he asked as soon as he got to the car.
“Please, take me to Cherry Gardens. Now,” I said, jumping into the backseat as soon as he opened the door for me.
