Chapter Eighteen The school was a little larger than his church, but not by much. And it was obvious that the school was where Father Jimmy spent any of the excess money that he found lingering at the bottom of the weekly collection plate: Each child had a desk, a lined note book, pencil and a large pink eraser. The desks were pushed together in two’s, so the children could each share a textbook.
