The manually programmed drone levitated in the air, moving in the room from one desk to the other at HamTech. Faisal was manipulation the drone from his apple tablet. Faisal looked on excited as many of the workers in HamTech marveled at his invention. He had been working on the drone for a long time and he was excited it was fully working. Faisal then stood to his feet and followed the drone as it meandered it way towards the walkway of HamTech. Faisal was on his way to see his boss. He had a lot of information for him. Faisal got to the door of his boss. The door was surprisingly opened. Faisal then programmed the drone to enter the office while he had not yet entered the office. Hammond was not surprised seeing the drone he looked on impressed and bellowed,   “Stop the child play and come in here Faisal.” Faisal then entered quickly not really sure his boss was impressed with his drone technology.   “So that is Exegis – a manually high-powered titanium drone that can do a lot the human may be tired to do, at your service.” Faisal said and clutched the drone with his hand and halted its operation.   “Good work Faisal, but I guess you have something for me.” Hammond said. “Yes, Sir, I have a lot indeed. A lot have happened that you should know. Firstly, from my new occupation as a journalist, the two kids who displayed that arcane behaviors are Abena and Yaw Quansah. They are the children of geneticist Philip Quansah and archeologist Margaret Quansah. Following up to the incident at the supermarket, one of the guys who attacked the sibling had been discharged while the other is scheduled to undergo a cesarean section.” Faisal read from his apple tablet.   Hammond looked on surprised, “What!” Hammond stood to his feet. “Did you say Philip and Margaret Quansah?”   “Yes Sir. They are the parents of the kids who exhibited the weird abilities. Anything the matter?” Faisal asked. Hammond walked about a little in the room, shaking his head, “I know them. We were all colleagues at the University pursing our undergraduate program. Philip was the cool and intelligent one. And Margaret fell for him so easily. There was nothing I could to make her see me as good. All they saw in me was pride, egoism and unrelenting ambition.” Hammond narrated.   “Wow that is awesome.” Faisal commented. “So, Philip got the girl and the last time I heard about them was when they were having their weeding. That was about seventeen years ago. Philip married Margaret, but I married science.” Hammond said.    “And now their children are exhibiting these super abilities? Something it not well. I have no idea what Philip had done to his children, but we need to find out.” Hammond commanded.   “Precisely Sir. Also, from my investigation, I got to know that, there is a shadow feud on a going between the Quansah family and the group of young boys who call themselves The Pirates. Apparently the two guys who were hit by the powers of the siblings are members of the g**g, and they have been meaning to get their revenge for their brothers.”   “I see. And what else?” Hammond quickly asked. “And creatively, I have been able to meet and have a conversation with the leader of the g**g. He goes by the name Kwei Madon and I have been able to create a bond of trust between us after I gave him a sample of Hamozol to fight the Quansah’s.”   “You did that?” Hammond looked at Faisal with a surprised eye. “Yes, I did that Sir. I know the Hamozol is still in its probation stage before it finally come out next year, but truth be told, Kwei came back to tell me it worked. The Hamozol gave him enormous strength against the Quansah’s and he is requesting for more for the whole of his gang.” Faisal said. Hammond quickly beamed with smiled. That was a smart move! Hammond thought. Hammond shook his head to establish the fact that what Faisal had done was just intelligent.   ‘That is very impressive Faisal. You got him to trust you and now we can use him to get what we want.” Hammond said. “Whatever you need Sir.” Faisal retorted elated.   “All we need not is a sample of the DNA, or blood of the two children to study their DNA structure and then we can do a lot from that.” Hammond said.   “Okay. Sir. I get it.”   “And tell the Kwei guy that, we have a lot of the Hamozol for them and a big reward for them if they could just do one thing for me. Get the girl and the boys’ blood for me. That is all.” Hammond said.   “On it Sir, will give you a feed back soon.” Faisal said and tapped on his tablet to activate his drone again and moved away with it.   Hammond then moved away from his and took a stand at the window of his office. He took the chance to reminisce and ponder on the good old days he had and shared with Philip and Margaret.   -------   Maggie sat behind the steering wheel of her scarlet Range Rover with keen eyes. Her husband sat beside her. Maggie though focused on the driving was deep in her own thought. Philip on the other side was not free in his mind at all. He had his face facing the opened window of the car and he was also lost in his own thoughts. It was getting dark. It has been four weeks after the altercation with the g**g boys, Philip had sent his car to the mechanic hoping that it would fixed for him soon. Currently, Philip was in the vehicle of his wife, who was also a good driver like himself. They were just coming from the hospital. With all that had happened to the family lately, Philip thought it savvy to go see their family doctor and marriage counsellor. The doctor they had just gone to see was a medical doctor and a professor of surgery. He was the biological father of Maggie and had always loved their union. Maggie’s dad had always told her daughter Maggie to let him know if there were going through anything they need help with. So that was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. Philip thought Maggie’s dad was the best person they could trust with what was happing to the family at the moment.   So, they had gone on a visitation to have a long talk with the professor of medicine. From the conversation, it was overt both Philip and Maggie did not know the course of their powers. Coupled with that, they did not know if their powers will have any negative ramification on their DNA in the future. Philip with all his genetic knowledge could not find out what was really wrong with them and their kids. The professor from the conversation took the chance to do a normal lab scan of their blood. But the result of the laboratory scan did not show any anomaly in the genetic algorithm. It seemed everything was okay with them. Now the discussion had shifted from medicine to their private lives and work. The professor inquired from Philip as geneticist that if by chance he may have come into contact with any contagious DNA or genes of any creature or specimen he worked with. Philip replied he that, he had been very meticulous with his work and he did not recall such situation. The same question was posed to Maggie and her responses was also negative. The discussion ended with a final advice from the professor saying they should try to reminisce if they had done anything in the past that had triggered what was happening at the moment.   After their visit to the professor of medicine had not proved helpful, Maggie had suggested that there was one last thing they could do. And this was to pay a visit to an old friend – a neuro-psychiastrist who worked at HamTech. Philip was not in full agreement to that since he did not ever want to have anything to do with HamTech. Maggie had the reminded Philip that, it was needful they do see the neuro-psychiastrist since she was a good friend and had also provided counseling for them during the period they were about to get married. Philip then agreed saying they would do that the following day. The following day, Maggie and Philip entered into the psychiatrist section of HamTech. To them HamTech had changed in the positive sense. A lot more facilities had been added Maggie discussed with reluctant Philip. Then finally, they got to the office of the women of interest.   She was fair, plum and endearing as always. At age fifty, Dr. Yaa Asante had a PhD in neuro-psychiatry and has been the head of the psychiatry department of HamTech. Dr. Asante was glad to see Maggie and Philip again after many years. With no time to waste, Maggie had narrated to her the reason for their visit saying, the finding it difficult to remember certain details of their past in relation to their marriage. Dr. Asante quickly analyzed the situation and after a long talk on neurology and psychiatry and how the human brain sometimes behave stubborn and tends to hide things from us, she proposed they do a neurotherapy. Neurotherapy  also called neurofeedback or brainwave is a type of alternative therapy that uses real-time displays of electroencephalography (EEG)  to illustrate the brain activity. By recording brain wave activity using censors placed on the head, a patient will be able to gather information about why an individual may be having clinical symptoms based on what is happening in their brain. Dr. Asante also explained that, neurotherapy was  a useful technique that enabled ones brain to reconfigure lost, tarnished and hidden memories, making it the best therapy that could solve the plight of Philip and Maggie. The therapy took two hour to complete. After they were done both Maggie and Philip did not feel any different. Maggie inquired if the therapy did indeed work. Dr. Asante smiled and assured them they are free to go as their hidden memories would materialize as time went on. Not so convinced, the couple left HamTech with no mention Paul Hammond. So as Maggie and Philip sat in the vehicle that was on their way home they were both lost in thoughts. All that they were asking themselves was. How did all this happen? As the vehicle moved on, they got to a second-class road and a guy in a motor cycle unknowingly crossed them. Maggie quickly halted, and the car jerked up instantaneously.   “Oh my God! This again.” Maggie exclaimed. But after a time, she just beamed with smiles. Philip then turned his head to meet hers.   “Are you okay?” Philip inquired with a tired face. Maggie’s face beamed like she had seen an angel. “Oh my God. Yes, I am okay. I just remembered something.” Maggie’s muttered.   “Okay, slow down and keep looking on the way, you are driving remember.” Philip cautioned. Maggie then turned her head towards the road and clutched the steering wheel with her left hand. With her right hand free, she began the talk.   “Do you remember Project Alchemy?” Maggie inquired. Philip altered his face. He was not sure he knew what her wife was saying.   “No, I do not…should I?”   “Yes, you should Philip. Seventeen years ago, before we were engaged I told you about what Project Alchemy was about and you became more fascinated and excited than me.”   “Really?”   “Yes. Don’t you remember?”   “No. Can you elaborate?”   “Do you remember the place we spent our honey moon?” Maggie inquired still driving.  Philip was quiet, but then it all clicked, and he remembered.   “Oh! Jesus Christ, I remember now, Cairo, Egypt.” Philip said.   “Exactly, that is where we spent our honeymoon. But you do recall we actually went there for a reason.”   “Yes.” Philip smiled minutely, and the smile sublimed for what he was about to say. “Yes, I do, we went there because of Project Alchemy.”   “Excellent, and when we were coming back we did not come empty handed.” Maggie added.   “Yes, we came back with that golden oval shaped cube.” Philip.   “In Arabic it was called the Norea.” Maggie replied, and everything was now clear. The past they were trying to look for was finally found.
