“We do not know they did what they did. But all that we know is that they saved any lives. If not for them those lives would have perished together with the others that have perished. So far from the information that I have received, a transformer blew that ignited the fire and the total black out at the market complex. And from nowhere, the Quansah family came in handy to save many who were victims of such an unfortunate incident. So, they qualify if we call them heroes. I have not met them in person, but I hope to do so soon. As the mayor of Accra Central of our homeland Ghana, it is my highest honour to say, we appreciate the work of Dr. Quansah and his family.” The mayor of Accra Central bellowed as he moved climbing into his office. He was a man in the late forties, heavy and stern from his face.   The journalist interviewing him quickly moved to catch up with his. She then took the chance to ask the mayor another question. “Mr. Mayor just for you to know, I was at the incident and from the information I gathered seven people had lost their lives with about twelve injured, but the many were saved by the man and his son. They did mind blowing stuffs, things I have never seen before. The man appearing and despairing every time I saw him and his son kept on blowing cold air on the fire. What I like to ask it that, aren’t you afraid of how they did what they did?”    The question was stern. The mayor quickly stopped in his tracks and moved his head to the mouth of the speaker that was doing the recording. The camera was directly on him. And the sound man had nicely adjusted the sound correctly.   “Like I said earlier, I am not bothered about how they did what they did. All I am concerned about is that, they have some super powers and they are using it for the greater good. And will say this that, every Ghanaian should learn from them. They are heroes, even if we do not agree.” Mayor said his finals word and quickly moved away, entering his office. The female journalist was still not satisfied with the response. She wanted more. From the last three months after she heard about the incident at the supermarket involving the Quansah’s she was intrigued by how the kids were able to do what they did and she was eager to know what had really had happened to the Quansah family.   As a lone wolf, as she was popular know, she was good at working alone and had been doing her personal under cover research about the Quansah family. From all that she had gotten, it still looked that, there was more she had to know. And like she had always done, by hook or crook she was going to do everything possible to get the answers she thirsts for. The female journalist in her early thirties turned and faced the camera ready to give her final message.   “So, as you heard, the mayor of Accra Central had said it all. The Quansah family saved the day. That is what we know at the moment. But what we do not know is how they did what they did. And that it something that intrigues me a lot. I thirst for answers, and I know you thirsty for answers too. In the meantime, we will end our life telecast here and resume later in the evening. As always, I am Nana Esi Arthur a.k.a the “the lone wolf” and this if ABC – Africa Broadcasting Corporation news. Hope to catch you same time. Bye.” The journalist said, and the screen flicked back to a commercial.   Philip shook his head to what he had seen so far. He had been watching the TV news from his office on the minute TV that was perched on the left top corner of his office. It’s been a week since the incident at the market complex and the whole of Ghana was talking about them. Philip felt within himself that they had exposed themselves too much, showing to the world what they were capable of doing. But Thea Do-Raal complemented them saying, that was the right thing to do.   Thea had been gone for about seven days. No one in the family knew where she was. And the mystery of it was that, she had taken the Norea with her. Philip had no idea what she was up to like her wife.  Maggie had become more conscious of her abilities after the training exercise that was administered to them by Thea. She had become more confident and was ready to face any evil that came her way. Maggie lamented about to Philip every night when they were about to sleep.   Philip then moved up on his feet and moved to his cupboard to pick up some files. He was continuing with his work. As he rummaged through the file to find the one he wanted. Then suddenly a knock echoed from the door. Philip responded, and the people came in. The door opened and there came in Maggie exuding more beauty and bliss. Philip automatically looked at her wife as he took his seat. Her smile was just contagious. Maggie also took a seated.   “Any reason for the radiance on you today?” Philip inquired. “Yes, Phil, did you not see the news on ABC, we are all over the place. Actually, you and Kwesi.”    “Okay, and that is the reason for your bliss?” Philip inquired. “Not really. I am excited because the mayor knows what we did. And I feel if this continues, it will be able to correct the erroneous notions people have about us as a family possessing dark magic and witchcraft.” Maggie said.   Philip smiled to that, “That is not in our hands. We will continue to use or powers to do good. But they can say whatever they wish to say of about us. I was actually thinking we have exposed ourselves too much with what we did at the market complex. Maybe we should not have done it.” Philip said and stood on his feet, with a forlorn face. Maggie also stood on her feet and watched as her husband paced about slowly.   “You think you should not have saved me. You saved me and Abena. And it was just good to have helped the other victims. We did not ask for this gift or abilities remember?”   “We got it from some alien race.”   “Yes, and about that. Thea told us a lot. But scientifically, we are still going by what we know.”   “Which is?”     “And why not that we are possessed by the souls of some ancient Konerians” Philip inquired a little agnostic about what her wife had said about the origin of the abilities.   “All that Thea said was not wrong. That is true in her world. And in our world, what I have said is true for us. We believe in God Philip. There is a thin disparity between Science and spirituality or what they call mysticism or metaphysics. They are two sides telling the same story.” Maggie said.   “I remember, you used to say this phrase a lot in grad school. Jesus was the greatest Scientist. He brought a man from the dead and gave sight to the blind. And science has never been able to do any of the two.” Philip said. Maggie looked on surprised that her husband had been able to quote something she always said.   “Yes, that is true Phil. I love Jesus, but I love you more. Like the mayor said, if we get the chance to save people that is what we should do. We should not be perturbed about what people have to say. Jesus was not perturbed about being the son of God when he died for us all.” Maggie said and that lighted the face of Philip. He loved her wife more.   “I know see why I could not stop loving you. You make all things beautiful even in the worse of situations.” Philip said as Maggie kept on smiling, she moved closer to his husband and placed her arms around his neck. Both smiled belonging at each other.   “Come one, let’s get out of here.” Philip muttered, clutched the hands of Maggie hurled her away from his office. Maggie followed her husband oblivious of what he was up to.   -------                                                                                                          The afternoon sun was blazing in the mid sky. The streets of Golden Creek was amenable to noise and mayhem. The Black Opel Camry was not going slowly this time. Koby was as usual driving. The kids had closed from school and as duty called, Koby had gone to pick them up. This time Abena was in the front seat beside Koby. Abena nodded her head intermittently to the rhythm of the music she was listening via the ear plugs in her ears. Kwesi was as usual busy with his mini Xbox game console playing a game of combat – The African Legend comics. Yaw this time was reading a book. The same book Abena was reading the last time, the incident happened at the supermarket. Koby drove quietly as he kept nodding his head to a low toned cool music from the vehicle speaker. There was silence, until it was distorted by Yaw. Yaw bellowed.   “Oh this is so funny.” Kwesi turned to his brother but said nothing. Abena then quickly turned her had. She knew something was going on and she did not want to be left out.   “And what is making you laugh so much?” Abena asked. With that there came in loud sound from the top of the vehicle. Something from nowhere crashed unto the top of the car. The car shook and all the kids where suddenly petrified. The thing that had crushed on the car quickly materialized in the front screen of the car. Then they all saw it was as a creature with a violet-green skin who was tossing on the screen, distorting the view of Koby. Koby inadvertently balanced the steer with the thought of getting better view of the road. But then the creature started hurling the front mirror, confusing Koby, the car quickly veered of its original path with great speed and moved in a haphazard manner hitting a stone, crashing the front mirror and the car unfortunately summersaulted. The creature was thrown off. The vehicle was now turned upside down. Abena, Yaw and Kwesi were okay though they had incurred some minor injuries. Koby was the one who was more hurt. The scar on his fore head of Koby was producing a copious amount of blood.   “Uncle Koby are you okay?” Abena inquired with that a force then hurled the car again and it turned to in original position. After the car was turned, the creature with full rage opened Koby’s door and hurled him out.   “No …no ... no” Abena screamed. “Oh Jesus!” Yaw also said. The creature then hurled Koby and muttered. “Where is The Norea?” Doramo Sa-Tram said. He was full of anger and was never going to leave until he got what he had come to get.   “What!…I do not know what you are talking about.” Koby muttered in full pain. “I see.” Doramo said. He then pressed a button on his finger and with that, a war-like staff materialized. After, he quickly thrashed the staff into the abdomen of Koby. Koby screamed as blood begun to ooze.   “Ah…” Koby was dying. “No…” Abena screamed again. Yaw and Kwesi had also seen it all. Doramo watched on as Koby was dying. “You should have given me a different answer.” Doramo said and adjusted the spear inciting more pain for Koby. He then let Koby down, bleeding on the floor. Doramo then ejected his staff from Koby who kept coughing blood as he laid in his own pool of blood. Abena was now in tears uncontrollably. Impulsively, she moved out of the car and knelt done beside Koby who was dying. Yaw and Kwesi still petrified by the creature were stuck at the back of the car. Doramo looked on stunned and moved closer to Abena on the floor.   “Where is the Norea? I saw you all on the news. You have super abilities. You saved people. Now save yourself.” Doramo said and as he lifted his spear again to kill Abena, but then a surge of blue laser light shot from the far end of the vehicle in rapid succession. The rays were strong and destructive, but Doramo seemed not affected by the laser lights. Though the light was destructive, Doramo was not really affected. Abena seeing the opportunity created she quickly scurried towards his brothers’ side. Yaw was standing with Kwesi and now Abena had joined. Doramo was more furious now with that act from Yaw.   “You think you can stop me with that? Never. And now you will get what you deserve.” Doramo said and moved with a speed towards the children. Abena screamed and generated her sonic acoustic waves that hit Doramo sending him back a little. Abena looked on surprised. She quickly gave Yaw a quick stare.   “It worked on him. It’s now your too Kwesi. Can you freeze him?” Abena inquired from his brother who was already ready to do that. With Doramo now dispossessed, Kwesi quickly opened his mouth and gave out a deep breath. The cold air moved in rapid succession, as the cold air went over the whole of Doramo. Doramo moved his hands to block the continued supply of the cold air. At the end, the cold air could not freeze him. Doramo wheedled his arm and freed himself from the ice that had formed all over his body. He was burning with more fury. Doramo moved forward towards Abena, Yaw and Kwesi. From the faces of the children it was overt; they knew they could not fight the alien. The kids kept on moving back. Koby Offei was still reeling from pain as he lay in his own pool of blood.   “You children have no respect for the elderly.” Doramo said. “We have respect for all elders, but not elders like you.” Abena retorted in a cold tone. “Now…” Abena bellowed and then Abena shouted generating her sonic acoustic waves, Yaw also produced his blue laser lights while Kwesi blew in more of his cold air. This time the siblings did it in unison and simultaneously. The three energies gushed out of the three-sibling forming an unknown cover around Doramo. It was working this time. Exhausted, the three siblings halted to a look at what they had had been able to do. Doramo was now shielded in a form of a prosthetic cocoon. He stood there frozen. The three siblings looked on stunned by what that had been able to do.   “Oh! what have we done?” Yaw said. “Let’s get closer.” Abena said and took the lead moving forward to examine the frozen alien. Doramo was stiff and immobile. Abena moved closer, Yaw and Kwesi behind her in that manner. Abena moved her hand to touch, the cocoon – the frozen alien and instantaneously, Doramo broke loosed from the cocoon and clutched the neck of Abena. Yaw and Kwesi jerked back spontaneously. Abena was high up in the air, Doramo burning with more fury. The spear he had used early appeared in his right hand again. He moved the spear back ready to thrash the spear in to Abena like he had done with Koby.   “After this you will learn to respect the elderly.” Doramo said, but then from nowhere, something moved with great speed and knocked Doramo of his position. Abena was quickly freed as she rolled over on the floor. Yaw and Kwesi quickly moved to their sister to see if she was okay. Standing right facing Doramo was Thea Do-Raal. She had just saved the death of Abena. Thea stood there with a sober face.   “Take your sister and the driver to the hospital now.” Thea said to Yaw and Kwesi. “I will handle this man.” Yaw looked on stunned.   “How can we do that? Our car is spoilt.” Yaw said. “Okay, move back.” Thea said and then moved her hand in a circular format and others in a haphazard format as if creating a cast a spell. Within an instant, she had created a portal. Kwesi looked at what her auntie had done and bellowed,   “This is cool.” Kwesi said. “Now take Koby and move through this portal. It will take you to the nearest hospital. Be safe there, I will find your parents.” Thea said. Yaw moved over held the arms of Koby while Kwesi held her sister and together they exited the road through the portal. Thea then quickly closed the portal. Doramo had also risen from the splash. He looked at Thea and made a face that said that he was startled.   “How is this possible? The heiress of the house of Do-Raal is still lives?” Doramo said. “Count Niko, your king will not be pleased at all with your interruption.”   “He is not my king. And never will he be. He is my evil brother who had plunged Koneria into utmost darkness with dark magic.” Thea said.   “And what are you going to do about that? What are you doing here among these week humans?”   “I came here to find the same thing you are desperately looking for.”   “ahhhh, The Norea. You want to resist us from obtaining the Norea.” Doramo said and regenerated two spears from his hands. He was ready for combat.   “I will not allow you to destroy this family like you did with mine.” Thea said and also produced a long metallic stick ready for combat.   “You have no shame, but you will, after I end your pathetic life.” Doramo said and hoped onto Thea and the combat incepted.
