CHAPTER 17 As he drove across the plateau Travis could see no break in the forest that stretched ahead thick and impregnable. It looked even thicker closer up than the earlier view. Stretching out across the ground in front of the trees was the creeper with bright green leaves that waved in the breeze. By looking closely though, he could see the difference between everything ahead and a forest back home. The movements went in every direction, not just one way.
