I WOKE UP and instinctively held my aching neck. I gently rubbed it, then lowered my gaze to the blanket draped over me. Garett was no longer in his spot. I didn’t even realize I had fallen asleep earlier. I must’ve gotten tired from helping clean his room. Tired? You didn’t really do anything but boss him around! Wait, where is that guy now? I climbed off the bed and took my phone from my backpack to check if Elona had messaged. I was shocked to see all the chat notifications. I opened them and read: Elona: I’m home.
