1598 Words
Melina woke up the next morning, sunlight pouring into the room and illuminating the space. As she opened her eyes, she felt momentarily disoriented, trying to piece together the blurry fragments of her memory from the previous night. The memories of the night with Joice lived in her mind like flashes, scenes that seemed to have been plucked from an intense dream. The images danced in her head, bringing forth the sensation of their lips meeting, the touch of their intertwined bodies, and the warmth of the shared moment. While Melina tried to gather the fragments of her memory, a mixture of emotions enveloped her. There was a sense of euphoria and enchantment, blended with a hint of uncertainty and vulnerability. She questioned what that night meant for her and the future of her relationship with Joice. However, even amidst the confusion in her mind, there was also a sprinkle of happiness. The recollection of the moments shared with Joice brought a sense of fulfillment and comfort, as if Melina had found a refuge amidst the chaos of her life. As Melina got out of bed and started to face the day, she knew she would have to explore these emotions and confront the reality of her desires. But for now, she allowed herself to smile, knowing that those moments with Joice had left an indelible mark on her heart and her story. Melina quickly dressed and left the room, walking towards the living room. Upon arriving there, her eyes met Joice sitting on the couch, his imposing figure filling the space. He seemed to be waiting for her, his gaze fixed on Melina as she uttered his name. "Joice," she said, her voice filled with curiosity and a slight hint of nervousness. Joice's eyes met hers, and a soft smile played on his lips. "Melina," he replied, his voice deep and gentle at the same time. "I hope you rested well. Come, sit down, we have something to discuss before you leave." Melina nodded and approached the couch, sitting beside Joice. She felt a mixture of curiosity and apprehension, wondering what he had to say. Their eyes met for a brief moment, and she saw in them an intensity that intrigued her. Joice took a deep breath, as if gathering his words before he began to speak. His gaze traveled across Melina's face. "Destiny brought us here." A simple human, who had just learned about werewolves, pregnant with an alpha. A promised baby. "Melina, last night was powerful for what we have now because of the baby," he began, his voice filled with sincerity. "But it won't happen again. Now you can be protected by me or the pack, do you understand?" "Why did you sleep with me?" The question was clear. It was important for her to know. She felt seduced and somehow liberated. Inside her, there was a feeling that, after sleeping with him, he was connected to her in some way. As if he had been there for a long time. Joice could be terrible at times, but in that moment, he just wanted to leave without explaining himself. But she was human, she didn't understand the laws, but it was good for her to know. "No one, no one can know that this baby was conceived through insemination. I needed the connection with you to make it more real." "So..." At that moment, she felt used. It was even shameful, especially when she remembered the absurd pleasure she had felt. Melina shook her head. "It's not as bad as it seems." "You were a jerk!" "You wanted it just as much as I did. Besides, I didn't even make that much effort." "I see... You..." "Melina, I'm an alpha, and my priority is to protect the pack," he explained, his expression resolute. "I can't allow myself to get emotionally involved intensely. Our physical involvement was an exception because of the baby you carry. I've made it clear what will happen if you don't cooperate." Well, her life was literally turned upside down. "What do I have to do, Joice?" "You see? It's not that difficult." Melina felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing Joice's words. She felt that the situation was more complex and dangerous than she had imagined. A mixture of fear and anxiety settled within her. "Joice, I don't want any trouble, I just want to protect my child," Melina replied, her voice filled with anxiety. "If that means cooperating and following your rules, then I will do whatever is necessary." Joice nodded, his eyes locked onto hers. "I'll give you until tomorrow morning here. My people will retrieve the things you want to take." "To where?" "To my house. It's the safest place for you and the heir now. Don't worry, you'll have everything you want and need. Forget your life before me, start anew. This is the perfect opportunity." "Do I really have to move?" "You've never heard of me, have you? You have no idea who I am." Joice stood up. The handsome and strong figure stood before the young pregnant woman, now finding herself in a new reality. "I don't know you, Joice, and I don't know exactly what you are," Melina replied, her voice filled with curiosity and restlessness. "But if you're offering a safe place for me and my baby, I'm willing to consider it." Joice looked at her with a surprised yet accepting expression, even though her eyes showed a glimmer of fear. "Melina, I'm a werewolf, an alpha, the leader of a pack," he revealed, his voice laden with intensity. "My position attracts enemies and threats, and we need to take precautions to ensure the safety of this baby." Melina was surprised by the revelation, but her mind was open to the possibility of the supernatural and anything that entailed. Her dream was carried by her. It depended on her. "I'll be safe, right?" she asked, trying to process it in a positive way. Joice nodded slowly. "Yes, Melina. And now you're involved in this world. We need to be careful." Melina pondered for a moment, contemplating Joice's words. "If this is an opportunity to start over and ensure the safety of my baby, then I'm willing to go with you," she said, her voice firm. "But I need time to adjust to this new reality and better understand what it all means." Joice nodded understandingly. "Of course, Melina. I'll give you all the time you need," he replied, his expression softening a bit. "My house is a refuge, a place where you can feel safe and protected. I'll be by your side to guide you on this journey." Melina looked into Joice's eyes, seeing the sincerity in his gaze. She knew she was entering an unknown world, but she also felt a strange connection with this mysterious man. Melina felt a mix of emotions, but a new hope began to emerge in her heart. She knew the journey would be challenging, but she was willing to move forward, trusting Joice and the possibilities that presented themselves for her and her future as a mother. The young woman stood up, and Joice approached, like a solitary and articulate alpha, his dark eyes locked onto Melina's beautiful face. She was beautiful. "It'll be easy to believe that I impregnated you. You're very beautiful." Melina felt a shiver run down her spine as Joice approached her. His piercing dark eyes seemed to read her soul as she struggled to maintain composure in the presence of his dominance. She felt flattered by his comment, but also slightly uncomfortable with the way he expressed it. "We won't have anything, right?" "No, I don't want anything with you. I never wanted to be a father. I'm only here to fulfill the role the Moon asked of me." Melina felt a knot form in her stomach upon hearing Joice's words. The mix of flattery and discomfort turned into a sense of disappointment. "I understand," she replied, her voice filled with an odd sensation. "If that's your purpose here, then there's nothing more to be said." Joice sensed the impact of his words, his gaze softened for a moment before he responded. "Melina, I'm sorry if my words sounded harsh," he said, his voice filled with remorse. "I know it's hard to understand, even after last night. I just needed to bond with you." "Sleeping with me?" "There are things you still won't understand." Joice approached before she could say anything else, he took her face in his strong and firm hands. His eyes gained the alpha's gleam. "Joice." Joice stared into Melina's eyes, his deep blue eyes enveloping her, his expression intense. Melina could feel the pulsating energy emanating from him, the strength of his alpha being enveloping her. The touch of his hands was firm yet threatening. There was a mystery in his eyes, something that intrigued and attracted her at the same time. "Melina," he murmured, his voice low and filled with a mix of power and attraction. "There are things you still don't comprehend. But know that my presence in your life is not just a matter of obligation now, but duty. This baby will be born and will remain safe." Melina's heart started beating faster, a mixture of fear and fascination stirring within her. She tried to form words, but her voice seemed to have vanished, replaced by tense silence. Joice gently caressed Melina's face, his expression filled with a gentle sadness. "I won't let anything bad happen to him either, Joice." "Great."
