Hugh headed to his office and grabbed the maps they’d been looking at before they’d went to the Holstein area. He flipped through them. Wherever Conguise had moved his experiments, it had to be on one of these papers.
He dug through the stack of blueprints until he found the ones for the underground tunnels. He scanned the first one. It was the sewer system for a neighborhood that’d been built a few years ago. He flipped through them, sorting out the older ones.
He spread out the maps on the floor and spent the next several hours comparing the underground tunnels with what was above them. They looked accurate, but something was off. He studied the tunnels near Conguise’s lab. None of them led to the forest even though he knew firsthand that they did. He pushed
