Jethro almost shoved Trinity into the carriage before he climbed inside. There was a perfectly good street and sidewalk outside the Howling Hut. Only idiots traveled through the dark alleyway instead.
“We need to get her help.” Indy sat across from him, cradling Sassy in his arms. The Guard didn’t look good. Her eyes were closed and her face pale. She’d lost a lot of blood.
“Dr. Kalper’s house. Now!” Jethro leaned out the window and shouted at the Grunts.
“You shouldn’t have waited for us.” Trinity grabbed Sassy’s hand. “Hold on.” Her friend didn’t even flinch as the carriage lurched forward.
“I wasn’t leaving the two of you,” said Indy. “You could’ve been hurt too.”
“We would’ve survived.” Trinity glared at Indy. “She might not.”
