“Come in”, she heard Adrian's thick voice and she proceeded to open the door.
He wore a white robe and black trousers which fitted him perfectly. His back was to the door when Theresa came in, this gave her the opportunity to admire his broad shoulders again. He was very muscular.
He suddenly turned, making her heart stop for a moment. His abs were beautifully built to complement his facial structures which looked perfect. He walked towards her and bent his back, making his face close enough to kiss her.
Her heart stopped again because this move was unexpected. He was just admiring her. Her beautiful facial structures and her skin which matches perfectly with her blond hair, but he was too close for Theresa, she thought he was going to kiss her, she thought her heart would explode.
“Have a seat”, he told her as he pulled back and gestured to her to sit in one of the cushion chairs which looked too expensive to be on.
He moved towards the bed and removed his bathrobe leaving his chest bare as he walked back to where Theresa was seated. He moved close to her again, bending his back and placing each of his hands on each of the hand rest of the single cushion chair.
“Do you know me?” He asked her. “Ye…yes” she replied with a whisper. She was aroused. She cleared her voice and continued, “you're the owner of this place and we've met in a cafe once”, She continued.
“Yes, I know. But before that, have we met somewhere before?” He asked again. “Outside the hospital?”, she tried again, “I mean, it feels like we're close, for some reason”.
He continued while trying to hold back from kissing her. For some reason, he feels attached to this girl, unlike other girls he's been with. He could feel his manhood throbbing beneath his pants as he talked to her.
“I want to kiss you so bad,” he said as he touched her face and gently massaged the back of her head with his fingers as he tilted her head. He swallowed.
Shivers went down her spine at his words, the intensity of his gaze making it hard to think clearly. “I... I don’t know,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
The tension in the air was palpable, thick with unspoken desires and emotions. Adrian’s fingers lingered in her hair, sending sparks of electricity through her body.
“It’s just that when I look at you, it feels like I’ve known you forever,” he said, his voice low and husky. “There’s something about you that draws me in.”
As he leaned in closer, the world around them faded away. The only thing that mattered was the space between them—charged with anticipation, longing, and something deeper that neither could fully articulate. Theresa’s breath hitched as she searched his eyes, looking for any sign of hesitation. Instead, she found a fierce determination that made her heart race.
“Adrian… I…” she began, but the words caught in her throat as he closed the distance even further. “Just let it happen,” he murmured, his lips almost brushing against hers. The warmth radiating from his body enveloped her, making it hard to think, hard to resist.
At that moment, everything else fell away. The doubts, the fears—nothing mattered but the magnetic pull between them. She tilted her head up slightly, her heart pounding wildly in her chest as she closed her eyes, surrendering to the moment.
But just as their lips were about to meet, a sudden noise broke the spell—a loud knock on the door that echoed through the room like a wake-up call. Both of them pulled away, reality crashing back in as Adrian’s expression shifted from desire to frustration.
“Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, running a hand through his hair. “Just stay here. I’ll be right back,” he said, stepping away and moving towards the door, leaving Theresa breathless and confused, her heart still racing from their almost-kiss.
As he opened the door, she couldn’t shake the feeling that their connection was just beginning—a powerful force that might change everything between them forever.
“Oh, I'm sorry about that,” he said as he walked back. “Room service”, he chuckled and sat on the chair right in front of her. “So you really don't know me?” He asked again and didn't give her time to respond when he asked another question. “Why didn't you contact me when I told you to?”.
“I …. I… I…” Theresa mumbled as she searched for words, she was still shocked. “Nevermind, you probably didn't see the need to”. He answered his own question again.
While they talked, he kept staring at Theresa. He was about to move closer to her again when she suddenly stood up. “I'm sorry, I think I have to go now”, she said nervously. He stood straight and smiled as he nodded. “Alright then, we'll continue this conversation another time”.
He said as he walked towards his bed, aiming to grab a pen and paper to write something down. Theresa quickly held her bag tight as she moved towards the door. “one more thing”, he said as Theresa stopped and turned to face him walking towards her with a piece of paper in his hand.
He handed the paper over to her “Don't lose it this time, call me”, he said as he smiled mischievously.
Theresa froze. “ How did he know that she discarded the last one he gave her?”. She moved quietly, grabbed the door knob and left the room. She could feel his eyes on her as she moved.
She started walking quickly towards the elevator, she was trying to make meaning of whatever Adrian’s actions meant. She walked out of the elevator and towards the exit of the hotel. She feels this connection too, she knows it's not just Adrian, she wanted him too.
But she couldn't act rashly, she needed to thread with caution. She stopped a taxi and they journeyed towards her house. She rummaged through her bag for her phone and called Brienne.
“Hey”, she said immediately Brienne picked up. “Hi sweetie, how was your first day at work?”, she asked calmly. “Brienne I'm in trouble”. She said ignoring her friend's question.
