CHAPTER 8 ------- BRIENNE AND LEO

1114 Words
Brienne was sad. After leaving Theresa's place she didn't want to go home. She felt like getting drunk but she had no other friends. So she decided to take a stroll instead of taking a taxi home. She slowly walked down the street. It was a lively evening. Cars were moving to and fro while honking at each other. Lights were everywhere and the view was beautiful. But none of these mattered to her. She wouldn't stop sighing. Suddenly a luxurious car came to a halt right beside her but she didn't care to look at who it was. She could hear the door open and the person’s footsteps. “Hey beautiful”, it was Leo's voice. “piss off” Brienne said fiercely without looking back. Leo was surprised. No woman has ever said that to him or treated him like that. She kept going and didn't care who it was. Leo followed her slowly as he tried again. “Helloooooo”, he said. There was no response, she sighed instead. It was right then he suspected that she was bothered with something and he would really like to hear about it. He had been with a lot of women and experience had taught him that they love to drink whenever they're sad. So he offered. “Would you like to go for a drink with me?”. When she heard that, she made a sharp turn which landed her right in front of him and her breasts brushed against his chests. Leo stopped dead in his tracks. He had never felt any breast this soft. He felt his manhood throb. “Ohh, I'm sorry”, she said as she stepped back. “ No, it's fine”, he said and smiled. When she saw his face, she knew her day just got better. “You treat?”, she asked him. “My treat”, he replied. With a charming grin that made her heart flutter just a bit. Brienne hesitated for a moment, weighing her options. She was feeling low, and the idea of sharing a drink with someone who seemed genuinely interested was tempting. “Alright then,” she finally said, her voice softer now. “Lead the way.” Leo extended his arm, a playful gesture inviting her to walk beside him. They strolled down the street together, the lively sounds of the evening buzzing around them. Leo glanced sideways at her, trying to gauge her mood. “So, what’s got you out here all alone on a night like this?” Brienne took a deep breath, letting the cool evening air fill her lungs. “Just... needed to clear my head,” she replied, keeping her gaze straight ahead. “Rough day?” he prodded gently. “You could say that,” she admitted, her voice tinged with vulnerability. “Just some stuff going on with a friend.” “Ah, the classic friend drama,” Leo said, trying to lighten the mood. “You know, sometimes a drink and a little distraction is all you need to forget about it for a while.” She smiled slightly, appreciating his effort. “Yeah, I guess you’re right about that.” As they approached a cozy bar with a welcoming glow spilling out onto the sidewalk, Leo held the door open for her. “After you,” he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Once inside, the warm atmosphere enveloped them. They found a small table in the corner, away from the bustling crowd. Leo ordered a couple of drinks, and as they waited, he leaned back in his chair, studying her. “Tell me about this friend of yours,” he encouraged. Brienne took a sip of her drink, the cool liquid easing her tension slightly. “It’s just complicated,” she said, hesitating. “I thought we were close, but things have changed. I guess I just feel a bit lost.” Leo nodded, genuinely interested. “That sounds tough. Friends can be like family sometimes, and when things go sideways, it hits hard.” She looked at him, surprised by his depth. “You seem to understand,” she said softly. “I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs,” he admitted, his expression turning serious. “But it’s all part of life, right? The key is finding the silver lining, even when it feels like there isn't one.” Brienne felt a warmth spread through her, the alcohol loosening her inhibitions. “You’re surprisingly wise for a guy who drives a flashy car,” she teased, a smile creeping back onto her face. “Don’t let the car fool you,” he chuckled. “I might look the part, but I’ve been through my struggles too.” Their conversation flowed more easily after that, the initial tension dissipating as they shared stories and laughter. For the first time that evening, Brienne felt a hint of joy creeping back into her heart. Maybe this night wouldn’t be so bad after all. After a few more drinks, Brienne was drunk. “I thought you had high alcohol tolerance?”, Leo asked her with a mischievous grin. “I…. I dooooooo,” she replied drowsily. “I'm….. not….drrrrrunk”, she replied and passed out with her cheeks on the table. Leo laughed heartily. “She's such a drama queen”, he thought. This was the first time he was drinking with a lady. His drinking companion were all men. He kept admiring her. She was beautiful. His smile gradually faded when he realized that he doesn't know where she lives. “Ah, no! She shouldn't have drank this much”, he said to himself. Just then the bar owner walked up to them and said he was going to close. “Well, I guess you'll be spending the night at my place, is that alright with you?”, he asked whispering into her ears. She mumbled some meaningless words. “Okay, I'll take that as a yes”. He said as he lifted her, grabbed her bag and started towards his car. This was the first time he was showing this much concern for a lady. The first time a lady will be spending the night at his place. “She's making me do a lot of things for the first time” he said to himself as he smiled feeling proud. He opened the back seat of his car and gently placed her there. He closed the door and circled the car and into the driver's seat. He started the car and zoomed off.
