On getting to his place, Leo carried Brienne again from the back seat of the car into his luxurious looking bedroom.
It looked neatly tidied. “Thank God, Nana came. He sighed as he placed her on the bed which sank immediately. He had been trying to imagine what the room would look like because he left the room littered before he left for work in the morning.
Nana was one person he truly trusted. She was his and Adrian's Aunt. Their mum's little sister who treats them like her children. She had been looking out for them since before their mum died. She stood with them and supported them in every way.
Now that they're adults, she became their most trusted person. She was the only woman who had access to both boys’ hearts. She had access to their houses and their belongings. She would usually come see them now and then, cook for them and store it in the freezer, tidy their rooms, and keep the house clean, whether they're home or not.
As he dropped Brienne on his bed, he proceeded to remove his coat and then hers to make her comfortable. The cold outside was intense but the room was warm. He struggled to do so with Brienne asleep.
He successfully did but then she suddenly sat up. She was a little bit sober. She looked at him and moved closer to him as she smiled seductively. Her big breasts touched his chest first and he could feel his manhood throb again.
Her face was close enough to kiss him which she planned to. But Leo looked away. “ She's drunk, I shouldn't take advantage of her like this”, he thought. But Brienne held on to his shirt and pulled him back to her, her gaze locked onto his with an intensity that made his heart race. “Leo,” she murmured, her voice thick with intoxication, “don’t you want this?” He was torn, caught between desire and the nagging voice of reason in his head.
Every fiber of his being wanted to succumb to the moment, to lean in and close the distance between them. “Brienne, you’re not yourself right now,” he said gently, trying to keep his voice steady. But Brienne was relentless.
She tugged on his shirt, and the warmth of her body pressed against his made it increasingly difficult to resist. “I know what I want,” she insisted, her breath warm against his skin. Leo swallowed hard, his resolve wavering as he looked into her eyes, which sparkled with mischief and intoxication.
“You need to sleep this off,” he replied, trying to maintain some semblance of control. “We can talk in the morning.” “Talk?” she echoed, her lips curling into a playful smile. “I don’t want to talk, Leo. I want you.” He hesitated, his heart racing as he weighed his options.
He could feel the tension in the air, thick and electric, and for a moment, he thought of giving in. But then he thought that it would be so wrong. If he were to do anything with Brienne, it should be when she's sober. She trusted him, he couldn’t betray that trust, not now.
“Brienne, please,” he said, taking a step back, breaking the hold she had on him. “Let’s just get you some water and let you rest.” Her expression faltered, and he could see the haze of alcohol clouding her judgment. “Why are you fighting this?” she asked, her voice a mix of confusion and longing. “Because I care about you,” Leo replied, his voice firm yet soft.
“And I don’t want to take advantage of you when you’re not in your right mind.” She pouted, her playful demeanor slipping as she processed his words. “You’re such a good guy, Leo,” she said finally, her tone shifting to one of vulnerability. “But I really do want you…” Leo’s heart ached at her words, but he knew he had to stand his ground.
“And I want you too, but not like this. Let’s wait until you’re sober, okay?” Brienne sighed, pulling away from him slightly, the reality of the situation settling in. “Okay,” she said softly, her voice tinged with disappointment. “I just… I thought…” “I know,” he interrupted gently, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “And I’m flattered, really. But for now, let’s get you some water and you can sleep.” he said as he kissed her forehead.
With a reluctant nod, she sank back into the pillows, the fight leaving her as exhaustion took over.
Leo stepped away, his heart still racing, knowing that he had done the right thing, even if it felt painful. As he filled a glass with water, he couldn’t shake the feeling that this moment could change everything between them.
“Hello” Theresa's voice echoed in her room. She had decided to call Adrian. “Hii there, so you finally decided to call”, his morning voice sounded so deep, Theresa couldn't help but notice it.
“Yeah, good morning” she said as she blushed.
“Are you free this evening?”, he asked, ignoring Theresa's greeting. “Oh yes, I am”. She replied.
“What would you say if I asked you to go on a date with me?” He asked with uncertainty in his voice. Theresa wasn't sure of what to tell him. “But what are the odds?” She thought.
She didn't have any plans for the day, and there's this thing with Brienne, she wanted to get her mind off of it. “Uhm…. Okay, that'll be great”, she replied.
“Then let's meet at the cafe in the evening”, “you know the cafe I'm talking about right?” he added.
“Of course, I remember the cafe”, she replied again. “So let's meet there by 6pm. Luckily for you, I'll also be having a free evening”. He said. He called in his newly hired secretary.
“Please cancel my schedule for this evening and tomorrow, I have new plans..” he told him as he smiled to himself. Theresa opened her wardrobe in search of what to wear.
She thought of wearing the red dress she wore on the day she agreed to date Brandon, but the thought immediately disgusted her. She tried on a pink dress but it's too tight for her. She gained a little weight so she couldn't breathe. She removed it immediately and tried on a bunch of other dresses before she finally settled for a white gown which looked perfect on her.
