Chapter 4“Mesdames, Mesdemoiselles, Messieurs, bienvenu au Madrid.” Margaux and I smiled at the welcoming words of our pilot. We had just landed in Madrid. Bad weather had delayed our departure from Paris, but we had made it all the same, just a few hours late. We disembarked and headed toward the baggage claim. I always tried to pack light for these vacations of ours, but I found I just couldn’t do it. For one thing, it was still winter.
