“Amber hasn’t come back yet?” Shane asked.
“Tomorrow,” I said.
Right after the incident with Julian, Amber told me that she and Gavin and Julian would be having a short holiday before school started next week. She said to keep Julian’s mind off and as an apology that Amber wasn’t by his side last time he had a nightmare.
“It seems you and Amber got closer,” Gail commented, turning my attention to her bestie.
“Did she tell you something?”
“She told me you taught her how to swim.” Oh, that.
“I did. I almost threw her to my pool.”
“I’m glad you didn’t do that.”
“Well, she stopped me and revealed she’s scared of water.”
“And I assume Amber told you about the reason she has an aquaphobia,” she stated as a matter of fact.
