Chapter 46: Across the Line
Andrew Fray POV:
I'd lost track of how long I had been wandering around in the sewers with Philips. I know he said we should stay within earshot of the other teams, but I hadn't heard anything besides our own footsteps for a while.
“So, you and Corporal Adams are a couple," Philips spoke up suddenly.
It took a minute to register that he had spoken. He had barely said anything to me the entire time we'd been down here.
“Yes, we are," I confirmed.
Philips nodded. “It must have been difficult for the two of you to be apart like this," he continued. He gave me an apologetic look. “And it must have been difficult knowing what she's been doing."
“I wasn't happy when I found out," I admitted.
