TWO DAYS LATER
I sat in my hotel room, scrolling through my laptop, and finding nothing helpful. I'd emailed the pictures of the trio from the warehouse back to my firm, but nothing had come up for any of them.
No criminal records.
No positive IDs.
Not even any names.
According to our database, the people I had seen and overheard talking about killing Holly, did not exist. But unless they were ghosts, that wasn't possible. No one leaves nothing. Those people exist. I just needed help finding them.
