Hours later, dressed in riding clothes, I set out to the stables to spend time with nyx. I didn’t get dressed in the bedroom after Hilda told me she had confided Kian to bed rest. With my current mood, it was best to avoid him.
Immediately I walked into her stall, nyx raised her head to rub her head against me. I stroke her mane, smiling softly at the attention I was getting from it which is a testament of our relationship. Seeing that she now trusts me, I won’t be needing any help from Kian.
