XAVIE For the first time, Kian and I sat together on the balcony outside our bedroom, overlooking a well taken care garden of bush roses. Hilda has confined me to best rest for a few days and I’m certain she forced Kian into making sure I stayed on best rest. Wrapped in a blanket and a hot chocolate in hand, I slowly took a sip, dragging it out as I glanced at Kian from the corner of my eyes. His mind seemed to be somewhere far away, same as I. Even though I had dismissed Hilda's concerns, I was still worried about myself. At this rate it doesn’t look like I will be healing anytime soon, I felt limited and helpless so the last thing I wanted was for anyone to feel sorry for me, as if I were a charity case.I have been through worse and I survived—literally. I will get through this too…
