I sat up with a jolt as a scream tore through my throat, rendering me breathless and frozen in fear as I realized it was just another nightmare. I sat panting as I tried to calm my raging heart, but even with my eyes still open it played before my eyes like a broken record player. I could still see it; Eli as he crumbled, Sam with a blade in her chest, the Sledge Sisters blue and blown to bits, and Liam, lying dead in a pool of his own blood.
