The very next night, I had an odd dream, unlike any other I’ve had before. I didn’t know where I was or what was happening at first… I was crouched by a stream. There was a little figure beside me. She sat crouched next to me, her head bowed as she watched me draw through the puddles with a broken stick. She was a small and slender child, with an olive complexion and large glass chocolate eyes that looked at me with admiration as I spoke to her. Her rosy cheeks were rounded, with thumb printed dimples that deepened with each twitch of her plump mouth. She had long thick russet curls that formed around her face like a lion’s mane, frothing out from the root before being tamed by two loose braids.
