Chinenye's eyes shot open in reflex at around two in the morning. She didn't have sweat around her face, she didn't have a tears threatening to fall down from her eyes either. She had been so used to waking up around this time of the night, from a bad dream or a memory or a panic attack. This night was deferent though. Chinenye's eye's didn't go open from fear or from panic. She wasn't shaking in her bed and tears didn't run down her face from a memory feeling like her reality. Her heart wasn't racing from the thoughts of the past, she wasn't having a panic attack, she wasn't seeing flashing images of things that made her heart ache. Her eyes were open in the dark and she didn't feel threatened. She felt Caleb's hands still around her and for some reason she felt a sense of security
