Chapter2

Mchaugny had found the perfect waiter who could be bought for money. Ralph had been a recently recruited employee due to a hasty increase in the amount of repertoire required for the service for the wedding at the venue. Mchaugny had a hard time choosing the perfect candidate as he did not want a breach. Neither a backstabber. He had had bitter experiences with sources of information trying to protect themselves by revealing to his masters about a possible intrusion by the media or some royal reporter, waiting to snap a picture of their private life. The smart ones would take his tip or bonus and then alert the people who they were working for, protecting their job while having secured a bonus from the royal reporter. The boss would be delighted with the loyal employee. As for Ralph, he had argued that he never intended to work longer for the aristocratic blue bloods and that this was a temporary placement and by the end of this event he would have heard from the dream company which he had applied for. It had not been difficult to get his hands on a DJ Mini 3 Pro. Affordable. Ralph was to carry the drone inside, and he was to create the chances to get the best snaps. Mchaugny had paid him in advance. As Mchaugny kept a watchful eye on the window of the adobe which was his target, he saw the curtains moving. A smirk crept onto his face as he never turned his eyes away from the bedroom of the rumored girlfriend of the crown prince of the country. It seemed like she was not a person who ever worked off the books, hung out with the lower-middle class people. Having figured out the family that she hailed from, Mchaugny knew that she could not possibly be friends with low-income families and tried to find out few details about who her inner circle members were. It was a tight-knit circle. “Any luck?” Fellow reporter Walter had asked. “Nope. Seems it's a member's only inner circle.” Mcghauny sounded annoyed. “Smart kids don’t let everyone in.” Walter patted Mchaugny on the back. “Also, they never need an extra buck. The papas have stacked millions away in the bank. Mchaugny sighed as he thought of Willie the blood hound. He was the most relentless when in pursuit. That is how he earned his nickname. A legend in the nickname itself. “What got you there buddy?” “Buddy? “ His inner voice mocked him. “Was he ever?” “Never! Fierce competition! Morning, noon and night.” Yet in death he had laid out the groundwork for Mchaugny to have the deal which would stop him from worrying about money for a few years or more. That deal was to announce the face and the name of the future queen to the citizens of the country. That too was going to be a snap of her among the royals, as one of their own. He had to force his mind back onto watching his target. He had to sit in the same posture for another half an hour before Giselle Goldsmith pulled her Range Rover out of her residence. Mchaugny rose, ready for the chase. Giselle was a surprisingly skilled driver. Machaugny had always prided himself in never losing a target he had wanted to follow and he was thrilled, because he was right on her tail. Mchaugny was excited and impatient. He dialed Ralph’s number while handling the driving. The guy had to be ready.” She’s on her way. Be ready.” “In position boss.” The guy sounded very excited and Mchaugny swore to god, silently. When Mchaugny drove up to the venue, he found space behind the property and parked his motorbike. Mchaugny dialed Ralph’s number, his fingers working at break-neck speed. "Is the drone charged and ready? “Yes. “She’s coming in. “I’ll let her merge with the guests. Then I’ll be where you can get the best shots, but you need me to cover only her, don’t you? “Just her.” Mchaugny pulled out a cigarette and looked down at his feet, as no one was supposed to know that he had followed her. Out of the corner of his eyes, Mchaugny watched Giselle getting out of the car for the security clearance. He smirked that the crown prince’s choice was indeed breathtaking. He could not identify each piece that she was wearing, yet his eyes swept from her head to toe, and he knew that the ensemble was desperately worthy of a photograph. Giselle Goldsmith was warmly welcomed by Julian’s friends, who were friends with Ava’s husband. Julian’s parents were warm towards her and Giselle’s confidence increased by the minute. This was a family that she could blend into. Though Julian had often wanted to take her to this location, she had been reluctant. But now she saw the green fields, vast and expanding beyond her field of vision. Meanwhile, Ralph was brimming with excitement as he frequently lifted himself on his toes. When he remembered, he had to keep telling himself that he had a job on his hands and that he needed to stay calm. Nobody should know that he was here for a job which was more specific than serving the guests. Mchaugny stood composedly and slid his finger on the screen with a composed gesture, when he answered Ralph’s phone call. “Yes?” Mchaugny almost sounded like how a monarch would approach matters concerning the state. “Is the bride there yet? “What?” Mchaughny was not expecting that question, as his sole focus was on Giselle Goldsmith. “Have you seen a procession of vehicles, guards, guards on horseback, etc., etc.?” “Okay. No. The couple is not there yet, and I think until they get here and everything and everyone starts moving, you better get the best shots?” “There will be more time for serving. I cannot grab any attention by loitering around. Without having a reason for it they might even run a security check. Let me take my time.” Mchaugny snickered.” You take your time.” “Okay, I will call you later.” Ralph rang again without much delay. “You need to get the app ready because we were given time to prepare for the first serving.” “It's ready,” Mchaugny said. “" I need to tell you something. If they ever detect this thing, it will be shot down and there won’t be any use of photos.” Mchaugny responded to Ralph with a hint of mockery in his tone. “" Dude, have you registered it?” “Just do your job Ralph!” Mchaugny quickly loaded the app for handling and examined the live feed around his drone. Just as Ralph had said, it sat on a tray but Mchaugny was worried when he saw all the other waiters and thousands of other glasses, trays and all sorts of objects around Ralph and the drone. In spite of Mchaugny’s worries, Ralph happened to be serving the guests, just when it was the most spectacular sn of the queen-in-waiting of the country, flanked by Prince Ivan, Her Majesty the Queen and Countess Evelyn-Arthur Calpabelle, with Prince Ivan’s hand around Ms. Goldsmith's shoulders.
