Chapter 38 show me how you fight

Casey’s P.O.V

 I hung up the phone from Jake and when I looked up everyone's eyes were on me, I guess they were waiting for me to tell them who was on the phone. I wasn't sighing like I usually did because I didn't feel the need to anymore.

  "It was Jake, he said he was sorry for what he did and explained that he was thinking with his d**k instead of his head. He said that he hoped someday we could be friends." I blurted out, not stopping for breath. Ryan nodded and came over to sit next to me. 

  "So you're the future Alpha? What exactly does that mean?" I asked, smiling at him. Ryan gave me a wide grin and I felt like butterflies were fluttering around in my stomach.

  "What that means is that when my father steps down or retires from being Alpha, then I will become Alpha over the pack. I will look after and protect everyone and the whole pack will be my responsibility. You're the future luna, which means that because your my mate and my father steps down my mother will also step down and you will be the new luna of the pack. You will help take care of the pack and do other things as well. That's if you accept me as your mate that is. If you want you can spend some time with mom and she can teach you everything luna does, she could probably explain what a luna does better than me anyway." Ryan replied, explaining everything to me. I turned and looked at Kacey, who was smiling brightly at both Ryan and me.

  "Would you teach me, if you have time and aren't busy that is. I don't want to jump into this not knowing what to do, I might end up doing more damage to the pack if I did that and that's the last thing I want, but I don't want to step on your toes either. I know that you are the top queen here." I asked, stopping to take a breath from the babbling I was doing.

  "I consider everyone here my family and I hope that you all feel the same. You were all here for me with everything that has happened and if it wasn't for you all I would have probably gone crazy. I do admit that after finding out that everything I had read about werewolves was real, I kinda freaked out and at first I did think I was going slightly crazy, but I'm okay now.'' I continued and they all smiled at me, except for Ryan, he held my hand. Kacey stood up and walked over to me, wrapping her arms around me and hugging me tightly, kissing my forehead.

  "Honey, you have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that. We were worried that you didn't consider us your family, that you didn't want us as your family. I'm so glad that we talked about this, of course you are family to us.'' Kacey replied, hugging me even tighter and then letting me go to sit back down on her seat. I turned to Ryan who was still gently gripping my hand and decided that I needed to explain why I wasn't going to accept him straight away.

  "Ryan, I hope you understand, I'm not ready to jump from one relationship to another. I don't want people to think bad of me and think that the only reason I'm with you is because I'm after power, when I'm not." I said, trying to make him understand where I was coming from and what I was thinking, but he smiled at me and nodded his head.

  "I understand, but know that when you are ready I'm here. I told you I'm not going anywhere, I have searched for you my whole life, so I'm willing to wait for you to be ready. I'm not letting you go." Ryan replied, making me feel all warm and tingly inside, but then I remembered something that I read about werewolves.

  "I read in my dad's book that werewolves mate with virgin mates, I hope it isn't a problem that i'm not one and no jake wasn't my first." I asked, making him burst out laughing.

  "Casey, don't worry about that, you won't be my first either. I know you say that you don't want to feel like a victim and don't get me wrong I won't treat you like one, but if you want you can start training with the warriors. You can learn how to fight and defend yourself, you can kick butt just like we do.'' Ryan replied and I felt a lot better knowing that he wasn't going to treat me like a victim.

  "I know how to fight, but I would like to learn some new moves." I said, excited to start training and Ryan soon perked up.

  "Great, let's head outside. You can spar with me if you want or I could pick one of the girls for you to spar with, but first I want to see what you can and can't do.'' Ryan said and I nodded.

  "Alright, let's get started. Is this what the others were doing when I first came here?" I asked, remembering back to when I first got here.

  "Yeah that's right, they were training to become warriors." Ryan said, standing up and I followed him through the back door and out to what he called the training grounds.
