We were having a great night and the food was delicious, but now it had been ruined and I was about to ruin it for Casey as well. I took her upstairs to our room and shut the door behind us. I was trying to figure out the best way to tell her what my father had just told me, but there wasn't a right way to tell her. I could sense that she was getting anxious and angry, so I decided to just get it over and done with.
