HARD WORK

Both of them sat in the balcony for a long time and kept looking outside. Avni held Rida's hand and said, come let me dress you, you have a rash on your forehead. Rida turned her face and looked at Avni. Rida's eyes were red and she was trying to hold back her tears. The next morning Rida went out to offer flowers on her mother's grave, after offering the flower sheet on the grave she gently caressed her near her feet and said forgive me mother I could not keep your promise, but I cannot live in a house where you are not respected, that is why I broke your promise even though I did not want to, now the only dream of my life is that I make your dream come true, I will work hard for you and become a good gynecologist, because of all these I was not able to make your dream come true but now no one will come between me and your dream, after finishing her talk she kissed her mother's grave and went away from there.

Rida had passed 10th class at the age of 14, she started studying medicine at the age of 15, even when she went to her grandmother's house after her mother passed away, she did not leave her studies, she bore all the expenses of her studies herself, she never asked her mother or uncle for the expenses of her studies, how and when, everything will be known in the story ahead.

Rida cleared NEET at the age of 16, even after that she got a chance to study in a government hospital in which she is practicing along with studying, due to some reasons she had to go to the village from college a month ago, but now she is here to complete her studies and is preparing to get a doctor's degree.

She felt very good but she was a little scared that she might not get a chance to study further. She went to the dean's office. The person allowed her to go inside. On hearing this, Rida apologized and said, please forgive me sir, I did not go knowingly but there was some problem in the family, so I had to go. In the middle of all this, I could not even talk to you on the phone and neither did I inform you. I apologize to you sir for my irresponsible behavior, the dean said angrily at Rida, do you think that by apologizing like this I will get you admitted back in the college, on hearing this Rida's heart started beating fast, Rida folded her hands and said please sir forgive me considering it as my first and last mistake this won't happen now, the dean looked at Rita and said I am giving you one last chance, there is an exam after two months from today, you must be aware that if your score is the highest in that then I will consider keeping you back in the college, until then you will not check patients on the field, I am just giving you permission to give the exam.

Rida felt relieved after listening to the dean and after saying thank you she went towards her room where she lives with two other girls, on seeing Rida after a month both of them did not say where had you gone, they were missing you so much, you did not work for a single day in the field the whole month, principal sir and the senior doctor were inquiring about you, Rida had a little problem after seeing her friend, she had to go to the family for this but I talked to sir, he told me that if I score well in the exam then he will take me back to the field to check patients and has promised not to leave the college. Hearing this, both the friends were happy and hugged her. All three want to become gynaecologists. One's name is Shabnam and the other is Richa. All three joined college together. In these four years, the friendship of all three became good. Shabnam and Richa also know that Rida's mother is no more. After talking to both of them, Rida set her things and started studying. Soon the exam time also came. Vida was feeling very nervous before the exam because her future depends on this exam. Rida is feeling very relieved after giving the exam. Richa, Shabnam and Avni met at Avni's flat to celebrate the completion of the exam. Everyone had a lot of fun the whole night, ate food, played a lot of games and slept there. Gradually Rida got busy in her studies and work. After coming back from there she did not maintain any relation with the Khan family but Noor Jahan keeps quiet from everyone and sometimes calls Rida to talk to her. Seeing their efforts Rida talks to them but does not accept their intention of helping her at all. 2 months passed and the results also came. Like always Rida scored the highest marks in the whole campus due to which it was decided that she would stay in the college. Some students of the campus did not like the fact that Rida had scored such good marks and that she needed to be taken back to the campus but they could not go against their principal so they kept their minds down and studied with her. Rita's journey to become a doctor was full of difficulties. She did not even realize how the days, weeks, months and years passed by. Rida closed Shyan's chapter in her life before it even opened. She just started waiting for him to come back. As soon as he comes back, Rida will send him the divorce papers so that she can be free from this unwanted relationship. She is preparing to become a doctor with great hard work.
