Chapter 10Sand flew into the air as Thea slid backward from the impact of Driada’s blade upon her own. She winced as her wrist throbbed from the blow. “Do you really need to strike me so hard?” Driada had dressed Thea in the same leather garb she had worn the day they had gone sailing. When she removed it after their lessons together, it would stick to her because of how much sweat she had produced. It was uncomfortable, but Driada insisted that it was necessary for her protection.
