Time was passing by quickly. Aaradhya and Rohan's relationship had reached a level of stability, but like every relationship, their journey was full of challenges. They both loved each other immensely, but whenever it came to marriage and major life decisions, some difficulties cropped up in front of them.
Aaradhya's dilemma
One day Aaradhya went to meet her closest friend, Simi. Simi now knew every aspect of Aaradhya's life and her advice always steered her in the right direction. Sitting in a cafe, they ordered their favourite coffee and started talking.
Simi noticed that Aaradhya was looking a bit upset. She directly asked, "Aaradhya, why do you look so lost? Is something wrong?"
Aradhya took a deep breath and said, "Simi, I don't know how to describe it, but I feel that something is missing in our relationship. Despite loving Rohan, I often feel confused. I am not saying that there is a problem between us, but the decision of marriage and the responsibilities that follow have started scaring me."
Simi listened to her carefully and consoled her, "It's absolutely normal, Aaradhya. Marriage is a big decision and comes with a lot of responsibilities. But if you trust your relationship with Rohan, then this fear is just temporary."
Aaradhya thought about her friend's words and realised that she was right. She questioned herself if her confusion was really about the seriousness of the relationship, or if it was just a result of societal pressure.
Rohan's Decision
On the other hand, Rohan was also lost in thoughts about his relationship amidst his work. He was getting busy with new projects at his office, but he knew that he should give more time to Aaradhya.
One day, he came home early from his office and called Aaradhya. He offered her dinner so that they could sit alone and talk about their problems.
Rohan thought that this meeting would help in bridging the distance between them, but he did not know that this meeting would lead to many more things.
Heart to heart talk
At night, they both met at a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant was romantic, but the silence between the two was making the atmosphere dull.
Aaradhya took the initiative and said, "Rohan, I need to talk to you about something important. I know that we both love each other very much, but the thought of marriage scares me sometimes."
Rohan looked at her and replied, "I know, Aaradhya. I also feel at times that after marriage our responsibilities will increase and we will lose our freedom. But I am sure that if we are with each other, we will handle all these things."
Aaradhya understood his words and said, "Yes, maybe you are right. But I want both of us not to take this decision in a hurry. We should move forward thoughtfully at this important juncture of our lives."
Rohan understood her feelings completely and said, "You are right. We will not do anything in a hurry. We will give it time and stay with each other until both of us are completely ready for this relationship."
Pressure of society
Meanwhile, the pressure of society was also increasing on both of them. Aaradhya's parents often started talking to her about the wedding date. They wanted their daughter to start this new chapter of her life as soon as possible.
One evening, Aaradhya's mother called her at home and said, "Beta, it's been a year since you and Rohan have been together. We want you to decide on a wedding date now."
Aradhya listened to her mother carefully, but she wondered if she was mentally ready for marriage right now. She knew her mother and father were saying this for her own good, but somewhere, she was not ready for such a big responsibility right now.
She softly said, "Mom, I need some more time. Rohan and I are talking about it, but right now we both don't want to rush into this decision."
She understood her point, but she still cited society and said, "Society is watching us, beta. People are asking when you two will get married."
Aradhya wondered in her mind why the pressure of society always dominates relationships. But she composed herself and assured her mother that she and Rohan will take the right decision at the right time.
### Future plans
Societal pressure and relationship responsibilities were creating tension between the two, but they both understood that their mutual understanding is the biggest strength of this relationship.
One day, Rohan decided to surprise Aaradhya. He planned a small trip where both of them could spend a few days in solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This trip was an opportunity for them to spend time with each other and relive their relationship without any external pressure.
During the trip, they both started feeling their love once again. They realized that more important than marriage or any big decision is that they are happy with each other.
Aaradhya told Rohan, "Marriage or not, it doesn't matter to me. I just want to be with you, no matter where life takes us."
Rohan looked at her and smiled and said, "That's what I want. We have each other, that's the most important thing. Everything else will happen with time."
### Conflict Resolution
This trip had resolved all the conflicts between them. Now both of them were more confident than before. They understood that the most important thing in a relationship is to understand each other and support each other in every situation.
Now both of them were even more clear about their future. They decided that they would not take any decision in haste under any external pressure. When the right time comes, they will also decide to get married, but until then they will live their relationship to the fullest and enjoy every moment with each other.
This chapter ends with the thought that the biggest strength in love is mutual understanding and patience. No matter how much pressure society puts, true love can face every challenge.
