Confusions and Realizations

Rohan and Aaradhya's relationship was getting closer, but the challenges they faced were also getting bigger. Their families had tried to accept each other, but some issues were still not resolved. Aaradhya's parents were still wondering if Rohan was compatible with their family's values and expectations. At the same time, Rohan's family also had some doubts about whether Aaradhya was the right choice for their son. One evening, when Rohan and Aaradhya went out for a walk in a quiet park away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi, a slight restlessness was visible on both their faces. Aaradhya gently held Rohan's hand and said, "Rohan, what do you think? Will we really be able to bring our families together?"
Rohan looked into her eyes. His eyes showed concern, but also confidence. He held Aaradhya's hand tightly and said, "I am sure, Aaradhya. But we have to give time. This gap between our families will have to be reduced with time. We have to give our families a chance to understand us as much as we understand each other."
Aaradhya took a deep breath and said, "You are right, but I am afraid that this might affect our relationship. I tried a lot to explain to my parents, but they believe that your family's thinking is different from ours. And I also think that maybe your family has some complaints against me."
Rohan smiled and said, "You don't have to worry too much about your family. They like you, it's just that some of their ideas are old. We can solve this situation together."
Aaradhya nodded and said, "But you know, my parents have a big name in the family and society. They want me to marry into a family where their respect will increase. I don't understand why these things should matter when two people truly love each other."
Rohan consoled her, "There is no lack in our love, and we are together, that's the biggest thing. These challenges of the families will make our relationship stronger. And if we have to struggle for our love, we are ready, right?"
Aaradhya smiled and agreed, but the lines of worry were still clearly visible on her face. She knew that the deeper their relationship was, the bigger the challenges they faced.
Suddenly Rohan's phone rang. He looked at the screen—it was his mother calling. He picked up the phone and listened carefully to what his mother said for a while. After hanging up, he looked at Aaradhya with a light smile and said, "Mom wants you to come to our house for dinner this Sunday. Maybe she wants to know you better."
Aaradhya said a little nervously, "Am I ready? I don't know if I will be able to answer her questions properly."
Rohan consoled her and said, "You are all set. Just believe in yourself. My mom just has to see how genuine and sweet you are. I am sure, she will like you more."
Sunday evening finally arrived. Aaradhya wore a light pink saree and she looked very beautiful. She was a little nervous, but she controlled herself. Rohan took her to his house, where his family was already waiting.
As soon as Aaradhya reached inside the house, she met Rohan's mother. Rohan's mother greeted her with a smile and said, "Aaradhya, it's so nice to meet you. I have heard a lot about you from Rohan, and I am so happy to get to know you better today."
Aaradhya nodded politely and said, "Thank you, aunty. I am so happy to meet you too."
While sitting at the dinner table, the atmosphere was a little formal, but gradually things got comfortable as they talked. Rohan's mother asked Aaradhya questions about her family, studies, and future plans. Aaradhya answered every question with ease, and her honesty and seriousness impressed Rohan's mother.
But then, Rohan's father asked a question that left Aaradhya a little confused. He asked, "Your family has a very high reputation, and your parents have a big name in society. Do you think you will be able to adjust yourself in our simple family?"
This question made the atmosphere serious for a while. Aaradhya thought for a while and then very calmly replied, "People should not be judged by their reputation or their position in society, but by the truth of their heart and mutual understanding. I am with Rohan because I love him, and believe in our relationship. That is the most important thing for me. Everything else will be taken care of with us together."
Rohan's father was a little impressed by Aaradhya's answer, and he nodded slightly. By the time dinner ended, the atmosphere was much lighter and friendlier than before. Both Rohan and Aaradhya felt that the gap between the families was slowly being bridged.
As Aaradhya started to leave, Rohan hugged her and said, "You did really well today. I am proud of you."
Aradhya smiled and said, "Thank you, but there is still a lot left. We have to work harder."
Rohan looked into her eyes and said, "We are together, and that is the most important thing. We will figure out everything else together."
