Birthday Plans

Darcy and her mother had just finished shopping for some of the decorations for Victor's party. He was one of five members turning 15 that day. So, after the party, there would be a ceremony held by Alpha Derek and Luna Bell to welcome the new wolves and others into pack life. Three of them were wolves, one Victor and the other was human. All would receive their gifts from the Moon Goddess and be celebrated. Even the humans within the pack are given some type of gift. It could be emphatic, healing, or the gift of gardening. Each would then be assigned their spot in the pack and start training after school.

His party would include all the other children coming of age as well as their parents. The party would go until 8 pm and then everyone would go to the pack house. The entire pack will celebrate then. Alpha Derek and Luna Bell have been friends of Darcy's since school. They were so glad when she had returned from being held by the bloodthirsty Alpha Curtis of their enemy pack. Bell was ecstatic to see the baby bump Darcy had come home with and explained her mate was still being held in the prison. Alpha Derek tried with no luck to negotiate to get him released. All they knew about the child's father was that he was a werewolf from another pack that bordered theirs.

" Earth to Darcy," Valory poked her daughter. " You are a million miles away, what is on your mind now?" Darcy shook her head finally. Then she looked at her mother with sad eyes. " I was just thinking about Sillas. Also wondering if our discussion with the Alpha and Luna about Victor's gifts could come to light. We did bind his gift when he was very young; when we found out he could bend people's life choices to his will. And nurtured his healing gift. I know his gifts were growing at a very early age, and it is not normal for one so young. But is he ready to be trained now by Alpha Derek if we unbind his power?" Valory is a witch with the power of healing and was the natural choice to train her grandson in medicinal healing. It was his grandfather who bound his other gift because he was Fae. " I am not sure what the Goddess has in store for our family. Who knows what other gifts he may get tonight during the ceremony." Replies Valory, and she continues," Maybe he will get his wolf tonight. That will help him if he accepts Alpha Derek training and a new position in the pack." The royal couple have a son named Franco who is going to take over the pack one day, and he has asked his father if Victor could be trained as his Beta. Victor does not know yet about the position and will be offered it tonight by the Alpha himself. If he accepts, then the future Alpha and his son will start training Victor immediately the next day after school.

I have been the Alpha of my father's pack for less than a year now. I am the first woman Alpha in 10 generations and the youngest ever at 17. It is the only time our pack has not been called Bloodthirsty, rouge-like monsters. My father, Alpha Curtis, was a cruel man and did not want me to inherit our lands or rule the pack. He tried to say if I did not find my fated mate by the time I was 20, I would have a marriage arranged for me by his choosing. That would be a disaster since I knew his prospective suitors would be just like him. I wanted to make peace and expand our lands and the likely hope of finding allies. He would fight any ideas I had for peace and sabotage any negotiations I would start. To get around his need for me to have a mate, my friend and I entered our agreement and contracted to marry when the day came for me to take over for him. Luckily, it never came to that. My father went out on a raid on a bigger pack to our south and lost his life. I was sad to some extent, but quickly ascended to Alpha and made a lot of changes.

I have not found a mate yet, but I am a strong woman who trains diligently as a warrior as well. The first change I made was to allow women in all roles in the pack. We have grown to be better fighters, and farmers and financial growth has doubled. The second is to rehaul all of our high-ranking officials to ones loyal to me and my ideas. It has been a long haul, but we are almost there. The Pit has been almost all but emptied. There are five prisoners still there that we are trying to get meetings with for their release. I will not just release them into this world, since most of them are packless since my father destroyed them. My new, Gamma Dillon, just returned from one such meeting. At one point, a prisoner found his mate, and she was released. I sent him to see if the Alpha of her pack would accept him. He was given a formal invitation for me to attend a coming-of-age ceremony in a few weeks. I accepted and I am planning the trip.

The prisoner, Sillas was taken out of the Pit and I met with him personally explaining the ceremony and that he would be attending with me as a gesture of good faith. Only one other prisoner will be attending with us as well. They will both be accepted into the pack a few days after the coming-of-age ceremony. All of a sudden, my Beta Cindy mind linked to me." Trouble at the south border Alpha. Rogues led by a man who was loyal to your father is trying to attack the group of new trainees. I have already sent warriors to assist." "OK, I am on my way in a minute," I replied to her. I already had an Omega show the first prisoner to her room. After I met with her, I was just about to have another show Sillas to his new room. I apologized to him and went out the door of the house and shifted into my red wolf Blaze. We ran south.
