"I'll try ."I can't kick my boots off fast enough. The hot showers are calling my name. Our bathroom is small with one window.. It gets stuck from the moisture and white paint, full of bumps and grooves, I bet you could scrape it away to the paint mama, and Papa used. with the shower running, it's a workout! phewwww this dam window as it slams open from my force. to open, i didn't mean to put it all the way up my arms are above my head and my face to the screen. I feel the cool swoosh of the night air on my face down to my n***d breast. steam escapes all around me into the abyss of darkness of the surrounding forest ... The sounds of the night put me in a trance. The smell of pine fills my nostrils. and a hint of maple syrup? and cedar? sniffing in deeply trying to capture more of the unfamiliar scent its delicious my body wanting more .rattatattat Girl, are you in the shower yet?? I need to pee!! Im snapped out of my trance of the night, and that scent Im buseeeyyyyy Ash dang can a girl get some alone time everrrrr! SNAP! My attention back to the open window. Adrenaline creeps down my arms and face .THE WINDOW IS OPEN!! before I can reach back up to slam it closed, I catch glowing eyes in the blanket of dark all about 20 feet in front of me about 6 feet off the ground guessing because the willow there next to my Dad planted is about 7!! the air fills with that deep maple syrup/Cedar scent so thick it feels like im surrounded by it. SLAM!! window meeting sill. what the hell was that!!! Lara, are you ok?? what was that noise? did you fall? was that THE WINDOW??laraaaaaa comes in on a whisper it sounds like it's whispered in my ear. arghhhh, I lock the window jumping back. i land on my n***d bottom on the floor.the cool, painted sweating wood meets my tush. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. OPEN THIS DOOR LARA OR IM BUSTING IT DOWN! RELAX ASH IM NEKED GIVE ME A SECOND wrapping the close thing to me, mom's fluffy robe it smells like lilacs mom's scent as I wrap it around my sticky body and face .I feel safe. I inhale it a few times in and out before opening the door and pushing past Ash. Im done, I say... Ash mouth opens and closes like a fish, um, okay, you ok? wth was that? you're losing it, Lar, and there better be hot water left!
