LOVE, LIFE AND EVERYTHING
Just before midnight, Church and Curtis, having met at headquarters, arrived to relieve Sinclair and Devenish, who’d earlier replaced Singh and Gable, in keeping watch on Angela Ryan’s house. Devenish reported to Church that all had been quiet, with no sign of their suspect arriving home from wherever she might be.
“I just hope she isn’t carrying out another out-of-town murder, Sarge,” Sinclair had said, and Church agreed, before sending him and Devenish home to get some rest.
“Well, Tony, this could be a long night,” she said, as she and Curtis settled down in the car, positioned far enough away, but still close enough to see if Ryan or anyone else arrived and tried to enter the property.
