Chapter 27Janet sat at Neil's pilgrim desk, writing checks and paying bills when her cell phone buzzed. She picked it up and when she saw Andy's name flashing on the screen, her heart jumped. Finally! It had been a week without a peep from him and despite wanting to answer right away, she let it go to voice mail. Maybe that was childish, but she wasn't going to give him the idea she was waiting by the phone for him. Then again, she felt justified. If he really loved her, he was going to have to prove it. Telling someone you were in love with them was serious business and he hadn't gotten off to a good start in waiting a week before ringing her up.
