“You didn’t forget anything?”
I feel like my husband of twenty years is the one asking such questions. Our shift is already done for the week and the nerve-racking three days and two nights' stay over with Sean will begin in a few moments. Sean, just being himself, had already started the wonderful attitude that he was showing at this moment.
“Yes, all good. I have a checklist, so there is no need to worry about any missing pieces. So where are we going to eat?”
“There is this Asian restaurant that I frequent with my former co-workers. Their seafood dishes are the best. Hope you are into seafood and the likes. You didn't have any allergies back in our childhood, but just in case, did you develop any? We could still change the place due to that.”
