One. Two. Three. Four. Five.
I have five pregnancy test kits from different brands lined up on my kitchen table. All five gave back a positive result. There is no denying that I am really pregnant right at this moment and all the plans that I have for the future need to be changed.
The next question is, how could I break this news to Nil? Should I say “Surprise, you will be a father sooner than we think!”? Or perhaps the classic “I have a gift for you. Guess what? You will be a daddy early next year.”? He would come any minute now and the excitement of the news made my mood stretch in the best direction.
Like magic, my splitting head ache is all gone and the churning of my stomach became bearable.
