Jerry POV This morning I woke up early to help prepare breakfast before I do my daily training. Once I was sure that everything would be ready when Aroura got up I told the staff I would be back shortly and went for a quick run. Chance met me at the training feild behind the house and we sparred for a while, discussing Wayne's desire for us to train Aroura to defend herself. Once we finish training I went to take a shower, then grab some breakfast. I was sure she would sleep late because we were up late for the ritual. When I reach the kitchen to get breakfast I am shocked to find Aroura already there having breakfast. "You are up early considering how late the ritual was." "I am not use to sleeping in. I have never really gotten to sleep long at a time." She told me. "I am not sure how long you will be here, but maybe you can get some rest while you are here." I began. " Also I think maybe we should consider starting some training so you can protect yourself." "Well, some physical training wouldn't hurt me." She responded. I nodded. " I have to leave today to take care of some pack business, but while I am gone some of the pack warriors will be here. They will help with training you and providing protection while you are here." I informed her. "Jenny invited me to go to the mall with her and her friends. So I am going to meet them at the diner in a bit. She told me as she got up to leave the kitchen. "Well that's god, it will give you a chance to have some fun." I started. "I will be leaving in a few minutes, but the warriors should be here when you get back." "Have a safe trip, and thank you again for everything. Not even my family was as kind to me as you and your pack have been." She told me. It broke my heart to think about the things she must have went through. She is such a sweet girl, how could anyone treat her so bad. Jenny's POV Aroura agreed to meet my friends and I to go shopping today. I know she has been lonely her whole life. She has made some friends along this journey, but she has never had a normal life. I am hoping to help her have some normal life experiences while she is here. I see Aroura walking our way and walk up to meet her. "Hello Aroura. I am glad you decided to join us. I wanted to warn you, some of the people joining us today are human, so we have to be careful. They don't know witches and supernatural people are real." I warned her. She nodded. "Alright, not that I would know anything to say in front of them." I was laughing as we reached the group. "You know Tami, and Beth. This is Brian, Beth's boyfriend and his brother, Jeremy. This is Renee, and Brenda. Everyone this is Aroura, she's a friend of Jerry's." They all said hello, and welcomed her into the group. I noticed Jeremy, one of the humans in the group, watching her. I don't worry about it to much, humans are pretty safe to expose her to. Maybe she can make some friends and have fun. We started out towards the mall laughing and talking. Aroura fit in pretty well. When we got to the mall, we stopped for some lunch first. I noticed that Jeremy walked over and asked tp sit with her. I know he will probably get his heart broke when she leaves, but I am happy, she is enjoying herself. Jeremy POV Brian woould not shut up till I agreed to go to the mall with him, Beth, and their friends. I was some what annoyed. We got to the diner, and Jenny told us, we were waiting on a new friend of her's to join us. Jenny told us she would be right back and started walking away, when she returned, she had a girl with her. "You know Tami, and Beth. This is Brian, Beth's boyfriend, and his brother Jeremy. This is Renee, and Brenda. Everyone this is Aroura, she is a friend of Jerry's. Oh great. I began to think, Jerry is a weird guy. I was not sure his friends would be any better. I looked up and discovered that Aroura was beautiful. She had long chestnut hair, and the greenest eyes I had ever seen. She looked very fit, she must have exercised alot. When she smiled her whole face lit up. We walked towards the mall laughing and talking. The sound of her laughter made my heart fill with joy. When we got to the mall, we stopped for some lunch first. I saw her wander off to sit alone, so I walked over to see if I could join her. "May I sit with you?" "Yes, you can." She answered. "Thanks. I am not use to hanging out with my brother and Beth's friends." I confessed. "I completely understand. I am new around here, and Jenny insisted that I come." She told me. "I didn't think you were part of the usual group they run with. You seem much more relaxed than Beth and her friends." I told her while looking into her beautiful green eyes. She smiled at me. We spent the rest of the time at the mall, walking together talking. She is a really sweet girl. The way she talks, she must travel alot, but she hasn't mentioned her family. Once we are finished at the mall, Jenny told us we were going to walk Aroura back to Jerry's house. When we got thereeveryone told her by, as I walked over to tell her bye, I stopped and asked her to hang out tomorrow. "Sure, I would like that. I am free about twelve tomorrow for a couple hours." She responded with a beautiful smile. "I will see you at twelve tomorrow." I said trying not to act overly excited. I can't wait to spend more time with her. Chance POV We heard Jenny and her friends return to drop off Miss Aroura, the traveler. After they left, Jason opened the door to greet her. "Good afternoon, Ma'am. I am Jason, third in command of Crestmoon pack. This is Chance, one of the top warriors." He introduced us to her. "It's nice to meet you both, I am sure you know I am Aroura." She replied sweetly. "Ma'am Beta Jerry told me I am to begin training you in the morning. Would you be ready to start at eight in the morning?" I asked her trying to maintain a professional manner. "Yes, that would be fine, and please call me Aroura." She answered me. "So, are you enjoying you time in Dawning Star?" Jason asked her. "Yes, it has been a very interesting stay so far, and this place is so beautiful. I am loving getting to enjoy the beauty here." She answered him. "I am glad you are having a ppleasant stay." Jason began. "As I understand, Miss Jenny is planning to stop by and talk to you tonight. We will give you two the space you need, but we will be here should you need anything." "Thank you, I am sure we will be fine, you guys will hopefully get to relax a little." She told Jason. I was left shocked. I had braced myself for the fact that she was very young, but she is so niave. It is true, she has no clue who she is. This child will be the saving grace of our world and she has no clue. Jason and I sat down to discuss how we would handle her visit here and training. We had to be careful not to reveal ourselves to her yet. Jason took a moment to remind me that she had limited time here to train. We could not interfer with her journey. I was beginning to understand why Alpha Wayne had chosen to try to keep himself distant from her right now. Her presences captured your heart. That smile, and genuine innocents made it hard to remember who she was. There was a knock at the door, I quickly answered it. "Hello Chance. How have you been?" Jenny greeted me. "Hello Miss Jenny. I am fine. It's good to see you again." I responded. "Is Aroura ready?" Jenny asked. "She is in her room upstairs. Feel free to go up and check." I told her. Jenny nodded and headed up stairs. I am glad to see her and Aroura getting along so well. Jenny is a great witch, she will give Aroura a good foundation in magic." Jenny POV I walked upstairs to see if Aroura is ready. I knocked at her door. "Ready to study?" I asked as she opened the door. "As ready as I will ever be." She replied. "Do you want to study in here or outside?" I asked. "Let's start outside, and if we need to we can move inside later." Aroura answered. We started downstairs, I grabbed my bag as Aroura grabbed some drinks. We sat at the picnic table next to the house, under the shade of the trees. I could see the curiousity in her eyes as I emptied the content of my bag. I stacked the books on the table and placed the candles in a circle. Once i finished I began to explain witchcraft to her. "Witchcraft is a way of life. It is an attitude and commitment. You channel your energy so you have to be careful of anger. We always honor the law of three, which means every action is repaid three fold, good and bad. Now this is for you." I told her as I hhanded her the leather bound book. "It is your book of shadows. It is a witch's personal spell book and more." "Wow, there is alot to take in. How will I ever remember it all?" Aroura asked overwhelmed by it all. "It's simple. Notes and entries in your book of shadows. You learn to live the life of a witch, ever mindful to beware of an angry witch. Terrible things happen when a witch is angry." I explained to her. She listened contently as I explained meditation, self centering to focus, and cleanse your energy. I spent some extra time stressing how important it is to honor the goddess in everything we do. The time with her flew by and soon I realized it was getting late. Aroura walked me out, she seemed excited to learn more tomorrow. Chance POV I woke early this morning to prepare to train Aroura. It has been a bit difficult for the guys to remember not to reveal our true nature to her. She has no idea that we are wolves. She meets me right on time, ready to train. I started with a morning run to test her stamina. For such a young girl, she can keep pace well. After the run, I concentrated on building physical strength. She was raised as human, so she has never tried to discover her strength. I was surprised by how hard she worked. She never once complained. I know I pushed pretty hard for the first day, but my time to train her is short. Finally at about eleven I told her, we would call it a day. She smiled and told me, she would see me same time tomorrow. I think training her will be fun. Jeremy POV I walked up to the house that we dropped Aroura of at yesterday, both excited and nervous. In just a few minutes, she exited the house ready to hang out. I knew it was not impressive, but I took her to sit under the maple tree in my front yard, so we could talk. I felt so relaxed with her, that I could talk about anything. I finally asked her, how she ended up here, and how she knew that Jerry guy. "Well, honestly I am on a journey of self discovery." She began. "Due to everything that happened with my family, I want to figure out who I am. I don't want to be like them. I met some of Jerry's family along my way and they have all been great to me, and treated me like family." "That's nice of them." I said. "I just wanted to make sure you weren't involved with him." "No, I don't see Jerry that way." She replied laughing. I knew it was moving to fast, but I leaned in and kissed her beautiful lips. She was surprised but didn't stop me. I asked he if she had plans tomorrow, and she said she would be free at the same time tomorrow.. I asked to hang out again tomorrow and she agreed. Her schedule is weird, but I don't mind, I just want to spend more time with her. I walked her home, and that Jerry was standing at the door. There is something strange about him, but I can't figure out what. I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and left. Jerry POV When I got back from the pack house, I was told that Aroura went out with one of the human's in town. I was glad she was enjoying something while she was here. I saw them walking up the road and decided to give him aa hard time and wait on her outsie. They walked up and he looked at me nervously. He kissed her on the cheek and told her he would see her tomorrow. I Just smirked at him, poor human may get his heart broke. "So, your seeing him again?" I asked her. "Yes, he is sweet. I like talking to him." She told me. "Just be careful, and remember two things; one he is human, and you are not, two there will be people with bad intentions." I explained to her. "I really don't understand why anyone would be out to get me. I am nobody important. Just a simple traveler, moving from place to place." She told me confused. "You will learn in time." I replied. Jenny came over and they practiced centering. She is trying so hard to learn. She worked very hard to learn chants. I saw her taking notes, probably writing chants down to study. After a couple hours I could tell she was exhausted, but she kept going till Jenny was finished. Once Jenny left Aroura went to bed for the night. The next morning, she ws downstairs for breakfast at seven. I really thought she would be to tired to train, but she seemed ready. I went with her to meet chance. He pushed her hard, but she kept going. Over the next few weeks, Chance and I pushed her very hard to learn as much as she could. She started getting up before dawn to run before training. That girl was determined. She would spend her afternoons with the human boy, and study with Jenny at night. She seemed to really enjoy her busy schedule here. Then one day, she came home looking very heart broken. Jeremy POV The second time I went to hang out with Aroura, we went on a picnic by Dawning Star Lake. She was so impressed by the beauty. We went for a swim after lunch. I had so much fun laughing and talking with her. Everyday for the next month I spent time with Aroura. It was the best time of my day when I was spending time with her. Something about her had captured my heart. Then came the hardest day of my life. I went to meet her for our lunch date, but she could tell something was wrong. I took her to sit under the maple tree, where we had our first date, and I began to explain my behavior to her. "I got a few towns away from here. I am leaving tomorrow to move there. The town is called Edgewater. We can stay in touch and see what happens." It took a minute for her to respond. "I understand. We can stay in touch, and maybe I can visit on my journey." We talked a bit longer, I really did not want this day to end. I did not want to leave her behind. I took a picture of us together under the maple tree, one for her and one for me. Then I walked away feeling like I just lost the best thing I could possibly have in my life. Jerry POV Aroura seemed so heart broken when she got home. I think she has realized it is almost time to leave to continue her journey. "Wayne is coming tomorrow to see how training is going. The oracle told him you would be leaving soon." I told her before I finally asked. "Aroura are you alright?" "Yes, Jerry I am fine, just lost in thought. I figure I will be here a few more days then I must move on. I dreamed last night about Landing Hills." She answered. "I hate to see you go, but I know you must. Honestly, you seem like the little sister I never had." I told her. "Thank you, Jerry. You feel like family to me, too. Hopefully, I will get back this way at some point." She told me looking even more upset. She went upstairs for a bit, and I began to make sure the house was ready for the Alpha's arrival. I feel bad for Aroura because she has never gotten to enjoy life like she has here. I hate that she has to give that up. It hurts me that someone so young, and kind has to suffer so much, but the goddess has plans for her. Jenny POV I arrived to talk to Aroura. I knocked at her door, and waited for her to answer. It took her a few minutes to answer so I knocked again. "Hey, sorry I was lost in thought." She told me. "I heard about Jeremy leaving tomorrow. I know it must be hard." I told her feeling sad for her. "It couldn't last forever. I leave in a few days to continue my journey." She told me sadly. "I know, that is why I came to talk to you. I want you to lead the new moon ritual tomorrow night." I told her with a smile. "Jenny, I am not sure I will know what to do." She answered seeming scared of the idea. "You will be fine. Eat some dinner, and get some rest. I will be here early tomorrow to get ready." I told her as I headed out. Wayne POV I arrived late last night. Aroura was already asleep. Jerry explained what happened with the human boy. Poor girl, it's like she can't enjoy anything. This morning I am waiting at the training field with Chance, and Jerry for her to arrive. They have told me about how much progress she has made. Chance has also told me how hard she worked. I am very proud of her for not giving up. Jerry explained to me that she gets up extra early to go for a run. I see her heading our way. "You will be sparing with me." I told her. She nodded and we take out stance. After hours of her escaping my holds and fending off my attacks, I told her we were finished. "You learn faster than most of our pack members." I smiled at her. "Thank you for everything. I have learned so much here and felt so at home." She told me. "Dear child, you are family to us." I responded to her. "You are part of our pack." "Now, let's get ready for tonight." Jerry broke in. She went upstairs to get a shower and rest. The day went by to quickly. I don't want to see her leave so soon. We got everything ready for the New Moon Ritual. It wasn't long until she came downstairs weaaring a silver cloak. The sun was setting as we walked out the door. The guest were already arriving for the ritual. I saw Jenny working with her to help her keep her focus. Once the moon was high in the night sky, they gathered around the fire to begin. Aroura was a natural leading the ritual, and at the end, the first sign of her legend appeared on her hand. It was the tri moon mark of the goddess on her hand. Jenny explained it was a special mark from the goddess. Aroura excused herself to get some rest. The next day flew by. I had planned a celebration dinner for Aroura. She had achieved as much as many of our warriors, and she doesn't have a wolf to aid her. After dinner, Jenny presented Aroura with a gift from all of us. "This is from all of us. Since you can't wear your cloak around others, this will have to do." Jenny smiled as she handed it to her. "You guys shouldn't have, you have already done so much for me." She told us as she opened the box to find the full length black trench coat, we got her. "That way you will always have the love of your family at Dawning Star and Crestmoon pack wrapped around you." I told her. She smiled and hugged us all one by one. We talked for a while before she went to pack . The thought of her leaving breaks my heart. I had the staff gather some supplies for her, and I put some money in with themfor her. When she came down the next morning to leave, we were waiting for her. Then we walked her to the edge of town. Jerry handed her the supplies. "This will get you through for a while. If you need us contact us. We will get to you." He told her, as I nodded in agreement. "You are part of our pack always." I told her as I hugged her good bye. "Thank you all so much. I love you all." And with that she was gone, and my heart was broken.
