I didn"t get any sleep last night, and I knew I wouldn"t. The story Gaia told in her letters and in her journal left me bereft of hope. My beloved, whom I had pledged my undying love for, had put herself in a dangerous position to carry out an act of revenge. I can"t live without her but after three years of trying I haven"t been able to find her. Now, when she leaves me a time capsule of our time together, I feel both closer to and farther from her at the same time. The sun shines brightly through the doorway into my room as I gather my things to pack. I feel like I"ve exhausted all my means of finding Gaia, and now I must wait until she finds me. Rethinking what Piero said yesterday, I had to admit it"s true. Gaia wants to find me here, not at the State Department, but I can"t move to
