The sunny skies and moderate temperature made the following day perfect for walking. Giorgio and Tamara woke early and remained in bed with just a single sheet to ward off the morning breeze that occasionally swept in through the open window. “I must go get ready,” Giorgio said, rising suddenly from the bed and retrieving his clothes. They were spending nights together by then, but he didn"t move into her hotel suite, so he spent the first part of every morning returning to his own home to shower and dress. Tamara had already suggested that they stay at his place. She could bring her suitcase along and he would be already in his place. “That"s perfect,” Giorgio replied, pulling the belt buckle closed on his pants and slipping his sock-less feet into his leather loafers. “We"ll do that.”
