36. My Journal – July 17, 2004, morning

Nothing could replace this feeling. We had a fantastic evening and night, filled with food, wine, and love. While I"m no longer sure of the order of importance, the food and wine surely add to the all-consuming pleasure of the day. I"m sitting up in bed again, in Gaia"s room, while she showers. I"d rather be in there with her but she says she needs to be serious about getting ready in the morning. “Afternoon showers are different,” she reminded me with an impish smile. So I fill the slowly passing minutes with my journal. Oh, sis, if you had only known what these pages would record! I know what I think of Gaia – she"s like the future of my life in a snapshot – but I don"t really know what she thinks of me. Well, I think I do. She certainly is interested enough that she"ll share her bed
