They could use Evie’s room, but Gavin doesn’t want to take the chance of her waking up and switching beds again. Besides, it’s getting late, and it has been a long day. The wine starts to hit him pretty hard, too. By the time he’s changed into boxers and T-shirt and brushed his teeth, his eyes can barely stay open. The moment his head hits the pillow, Gavin feels even drowsier than before. The last thing he remembers is Brody snuggling up close behind him.
Then he’s out like a light.
Hours pass in minutes, and the next thing he knows, the bed is shaking beneath him as he struggles awake. Groggily, he rubs at his eyes and mutters, “What the hell…”
