“How go your studies, my little deer?” Oisin started and shuffled the note paper in front of him underneath the nearest book. “Uhm. Fairly well, sir.” Bel raised his eyebrows slightly, but made no comment on Oisin’s reaction, which he was glad of. Oisin was working on a gift for Bel. While reading through Principia Magica, he’d happened on a section about the sun’s power, which had given him some interesting ideas. He remembered Bel’s warning that not everything in the book was correct, but if this section held any truth, he might be able to combine the principles there with one of the protective charms from the spell book and make a charm against sunlight.
