Oisin sat back in his chair with a long sigh. His stomach was rumbling, sure evidence that he’d worked through at least one meal. Before him an amulet lay on the table. It was a pierced stone, one that had worn into that shape naturally, without human hands. The sprites had managed to find him one that was small enough to be strung on a cord and worn. He was quite aware that without the house sprites his spell work would be much more difficult. He would wear his feet off traveling, and pauper himself even if he were rich, trying to find or buy everything he needed. The sprites could find him almost anything at all, though.
