Oisin woke feeling comfortably rested. He was no longer amazed to wake up in a soft feather bed each morning, but he did still luxuriate for a long moment in the wonderful feeling of not being cold, half-starved, or exhausted. As he blinked his eyes open and started to stir, he immediately stopped, for the first thing he saw was Bel, sitting on the floor beside the bed and lying with his head and arms resting on the covers, soundly asleep. Bel needed very little sleep, but he did require some, and it seemed that he had put off his own rest to watch over Oisin, and then simply grown too tired to stay awake. Oisin shifted, carefully wiggling until he could sit up without waking Bel. He smiled a little ruefully as he looked down at the slumbering god. Oisin wasn’t exactly pleased to find Bel
