Chris’ POV

As soon as the doc came I could see by the look on his face that it was something serious, werewolves don’t normally get sick unless its life threatening, she was fading into unconsciousness, I picked her up and carried her down to the infirmary, I laid her down on an empty bed as the doc brought over a needle. “Alpha I promise I will try to do whatever I can for her” he said drawing blood from her arm “you will make her better” I barked at him, stoking her forehead, I bet that vampire did something to hurt her, I sat down and waited for her to wake up. A few hours later Jackson stuck his head through the door “Alpha are you joining us for dinner” he said, I didn't look up I just focused on Lily, her face was as pale as a ghost “Alpha I think if found out what’s wrong” the Doc said walking over to the bed “will she be alright” I said looking up at him “I’m afraid only time will tell” he said taking a seat “she’s malnourished, her body is starting to shut down, what she needs is bed rest and the right kind of food, I’m treating her here for now in a week or two she’ll be fine, she’s a fighter and she’ll pull through eventually” he said placing a needle in her arm, I looked down at the small girl in front of me, her body was mainly muscle, I could see that she had gotten skinnier, how had I let her do this to herself, why hadn't I noticed this before “I also suggest that she quits smoking, she’s probably going to hate you for a while but it’ll be better for her” he said standing up and bowing before walking away. I sat there until morning came, mum came over and put her hand on my shoulder “you need to sleep, your eyes are falling out of your head, I watch her if you want” she said giving me a warm smile “mum it’s all my fault, I should have made her eat, she’s going to die and it’s all my fault” I said tears slipping down my face, I gripped lily’s hand tighter “don’t talk like that Christopher, it’s not your fault, she’s a tough girl, she’ll make it through, she’ been through a lot, I want you to go and take a nap otherwise you’ll get sick to, if she wakes up I come and get you” she said sitting down on the bed “I’m not moving until she wakes” I said wiping away the tears “Chris what could go wrong the doc is watching her closely, now go and get some sleep” mum said pointing to the door “fine, but come and get me when she’s awake” I said getting up from my seat and walking out the door, I turned to see mum sitting down on the chair next to lily’s bed. I slowly walked into the living room, my eyes were heavy as I sat down on the couch, and a few of the boys were watching TV, I sat down for what seemed like seconds before my eyes started to close.

“I was walking through the woods, twigs crunching underneath me, I came into a clearing, no, no, no, this can’t be happening to me, I saw the two of them embracing each other, I saw her smile fade quickly to an expression of horror and fear as he raised a knife to her throat, he pressed it into her skin, red blood trickling down her dress, “Stop” I yelled, but something was pulling me back, I tried to shut my eyes up I couldn't, I yelled out again and again but they couldn't hear me, the girl let out a scream as he sliced the knife across her throat, blood was covering them both now, her body fell to the ground, her legs bent in an awkward position, the man ran away in the opposite direction to me, the bloody knife left lying on the ground, gleaming in the moon light, I ran forward, falling down next to her lifeless body, Wolves erupted from the bushes surrounding us, I felt them change around me, one of the let out a howl of grief, as he dropped down beside me, my father and I now looked at the mangled body of my sister.”

I woke up drenched in sweat, the room around me was dark, I stood up, feeling my way to the light switch, and I flicked it on “Alpha, one of the rouges have escaped” an Omega said running up to me “what” I said yelling, I stormed down to the cells, the girl was still chained to the wall, a needle and the bottle of wolfs bane was laying one the floor, the man was missing, “I want somebody watching her right now” I yelled at her before walking back upstairs, I walked into the infirmary, mum was slumped over in her chair, I could see that Lily was still asleep. She looked a lot older than what she was, her dark hair making her skin look as white as paper, “Lily you have to wake up, you have to get better” I whispered as I laid down on the bed beside her, her body wasn’t warm like it normally was. “Chris” a small voice woke me up “Chris I need you to get up” I opened my eyes to see Lily wide awake “my god your awake” I said reaching forward to kiss her “I need to get up” she said trying to push me away “you’re staying right here until your better” I said leaning down to kiss her again “Chris I need to pee” she said trying to get up, I rolled off her so that she could get up.

As soon as she was finished she walked over to the door, “and where do you think you’re going” I said sitting up on the bed “nowhere”, she said giving me a guilty look, “Docs orders that you stay here” I said quickly walking over to her “I need a smoke alright, I’m just going out for like five minutes” she said opening the door “no you’re staying here and there’s going to be no more smoking” I said picking her up and putting her back on the bed, she got up again but I picked her up and sat her back down on the bed “you’re not going to let me leave are you” she said hanging her head “please, please, please just let me out” she said giving me puppy dog eyes “it’s not going to work lil” I said smirking and folding my arms “argh” she shouted, she had a serious pout and it wasn't going to change, “I have somebody babysit you if you don’t behave” I said coming closer to her “don’t treat me like a little kid, I’m going to be 18 in like a month” she said jumping up and down on the spot “since you are a kid, your grounded and confined to your room” I said holding back laughter “you’re not my dad you can’t ground me” she said, a shocked expression on her face “no but I am your mate, so please just stay here and get better, what would Jay say if he was here” I said slowly walking over to her, I put my arms around her, she was so tiny and precious, it felt like she would break in my arms “don’t you dare say his name, if it wasn't for you he would still be alive, and I wouldn't be stuck here with you” she yelled at me, I let go in surprise.
