It had been a week since I had come to the Pub and not a word from the pack, I felt guilty now, it had all been over a cigarette, but somehow I liked this freedom, nobody called me Luna, and I didn't have people worried about me twenty four seven, and most of all I didn't have Chris telling me what I could and couldn't do. It was about lunch time when I was sitting down by the bar, eating a plate of spaghetti, when the door burst open Jackson and Chad were standing there “Luna you need to come quick he’s gone totally mental” Jackson said while Chad tried to leave “I don’t care, I’m not part of the pack anymore” I said taking another mouthful “he thinks you’ve gone back to Nickolas, he wants to challenge him for you” Chad said, a pleading look in his eyes “fine, I’ll sort this thing out for you, but not again alright, after this I don’t want anything to do with him” I said standing up “Toni, I’m going to talk with him” I shouted “take Geo with you” Toni’s voice replied, and a few seconds later Geo was down stairs. It took us about an hour to drive there, I’m pretty sure we broke every traffic law in the state. Geo pulled up at the front of the house. I was slightly scared about what I was going to see, what if he hit me again, Geo was no use, or was he, by the way he walked I could tell he had his gun on him, I opened the front door, I followed the trial of destruction, the walls had hole in them from where Chris must of punched them.
I walked all the way to his office door, I heard smashing coming from inside as well as loud music, I pushed open the door, and gasped in horror, the room was trashed, and the smell was disgusting, every piece of furniture had been ripped and broken into tiny pieces, books torn apart, beer bottle smashed or laying half empty on the stained carpet, I saw Chris slumped against the wall, one knee raised poking through a rip in his jeans, his hair was unkempt, bare foot and unshaven. This smell coming from him was almost unbearable, it wasn't clear he hadn't showered in a week, Jackson edged in after me followed by Geo, as soon as Jackson entered the room fully, a bottle was lobbed at his head, “I told you I wanted to be alone” Chis shouted, he looked up, I could see the pained look in his red puffy eyes “Lily” I said trying to get to his feet, when he came to about 30 centimeters away Geo pushed me behind him drawing his gun, “Geo put your gun down” I said putting my hand on his out stretched arm “what if he hits you again” Geo said slightly lowering his gun “I don’t think he’s capable of doing much” I said giving him a pleading look “fine” Geo said lowering his gun “lil” he said moving closer, I stuck my hand out stopping him from moving closer “no, I’m not here to forgive you or comeback to the pack, I’m here because Chad and Jackson asked me, and because this suicide mission your planning is idiotic” I said folding my arms “now stop feeling sorry for yourself and wallowing in self-pity, your pack needs you” I said turning on my heel the boys following Chris struggling at the back, I walked us all to the infirmary, I pulled Chris to an empty bed and sat him down, “Doc” I called, and the doctor came out from one of the screens surrounding a bed at the end of the room “hook him up to a drip, sober him up” I said to the doc before turning around to face the other boys “then I want you to clean him up” I said striding to the door Geo hot on my heels “and what are you going to do” Chad asked apprehensively “I’m going with Geo to clean his office up” I said pushing open the door. Three hours later and everything had been cleared and the carpet had been cleaned, the horrible smell from before had almost disappeared completely, “Luna, he’s sober now, he wants to talk” Chad said opening the door slowly “fine, um Geo you can go home I’ll be fine” I said sighing deeply “Dad wants me to stay with you” he shifted uneasily, “fine, come on then”.
I arrived in the infirmary, Chris was now clean shaven, and in different clothes, a small part of me wanted to run over there and cuddle him, but I knew I had to stand my ground “what’s he doing here” Chris’s head shot up as soon as we walked in “he’s here to make sure you don’t hurt me again” I said coldly “lil, I’m so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you, I didn't know what I was doing, I kind of black out after you said you were going back to Nickolas” he said standing up “you hurt me and I don’t think I could forgive you” I said tear welling up in my eyes “I thought I lost you, I was ready to die, I can’t live without you” Chris said stepping forward, sadness welled up inside me, I ran forward wrapping my arms around me, he hugged me back, in a near bone crushing hug “I missed you so much” he whispered in my ear as we rocked back and forth, “I didn't mean what I said, I don’t blame you, and I would never go back to him, not now not ever” I said crying “I’m here there’s nothing to cry about, I shouldn't have acted the way I did, Geo I think he’s not going to hurt me” I said looking at Geo through wet lashes “I’ll see you when you get back” Geo said leaving the room “now where alone” Chris said bending down and kissed me harshly.
