Aurora didn’t sleep that night.
She sat in her studio apartment, still in the blood-red gown, knees pulled to her chest, her heartbeat never quite slowing down.
The bite on her neck had faded to a faint mark, but she could feel it. It throbbed like it had its own pulse. Her lips still tingled from the kiss. Her body still ached with a need she’d never known before.
She checked her mirror for the tenth time. Her reflection looked the same—no fangs, no glowing eyes, no werewolf snarls. Just a shaken woman in silk, mascara smudged, pupils too wide.
What the hell was he? What the hell am I?
Her phone buzzed. Unknown number.
A.D.: Check your email. You have an offer.
Aurora’s stomach flipped. Against every better judgment, she opened her laptop.
One new email. Subject: SynapseVault: Acquisition Terms
Sender: damien@thehouseofd.com
Her eyes scanned the contract. And then widened.
Ten million dollars. Immediate transfer.
But the conditions…
The founder, Aurora Liam, will reside at Damien Estate for thirty days, during which she will complete the system integration and finalize full transfer of SynapseVault IP rights to Damien Corp.
Personal liaison to Alexander Damien: exclusive.
No external contact. No early exit.
Is this a joke? A threat? Or… a trap?
Her fingers hovered over the keyboard. She could walk away. She should.
But something inside her whispered: You’re not done with him yet.
And God help her, she didn’t want to be.
48 Hours Later – Damien Estate, Hudson Valley
The estate was a gothic fortress tucked in the forest. Endless glass, black stone, and razor-wire gates. A private helipad, its own security force, and staff dressed in black.
It screamed secrecy, dominance, power.
Alexander Damien stood at the front steps when she arrived—hands in his pockets, suit perfect, expression unreadable. His eyes raked over her slowly.
"You came," he said, as if it were inevitable.
"I’m here for business," she replied, keeping her chin high.
His lips curled slightly. “You’ll learn, Aurora. With me, business is always personal.”
Later That Night
The room he gave her was bigger than her entire apartment. Walls of glass, a balcony facing the woods, marble floors, and a king-sized bed dressed in black satin.
No locks on the doors. No escape routes.
She showered, trying to wash off the feeling of his stare. But when she stepped out—he was already inside.
Alexander leaned against the wall near the bed, sleeves rolled up, shirt open at the neck, eyes fixed on her towel-clad form like a predator watching prey.
“I didn’t invite you in,” she said.
He pushed off the wall. “You didn’t need to.”
Aurora backed up a step. “This isn’t part of the deal.”
He smiled darkly. “It was always the real deal. The rest is just paperwork.”
She should’ve screamed. Thrown something. Run.
But her body betrayed her. That same electricity from the gala surged through her veins. Her skin burned for him. Her thighs clenched.
She dropped the towel.
His eyes darkened instantly. He crossed the room in two long strides, and then—
He kissed her.
Not gentle. Not asking. Just took.
Her back hit the wall with a soft thud. His mouth consumed hers—hot, demanding, feral. His hands gripped her hips as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
“You’ve haunted my dreams,” he growled against her lips. “I smelled your scent in the stars before I ever saw your face.”
She gasped. “What are you?”
He didn’t answer. Just lifted her like she weighed nothing and carried her to the bed.
He laid her down and crawled over her like a beast unleashed.
“You feel it too, don’t you?” he murmured against her collarbone. “The bond. It’s ancient. Unbreakable.”
“I don’t believe in fate,” she whispered.
“Then believe in this,” he said—and pushed inside her in one deep, claiming thrust.
Aurora cried out, fingers clawing the sheets. He filled her completely, perfectly—like he was made to fit her.
He moved slowly at first, eyes locked on hers. Every thrust was powerful, controlled, and reverent. She felt like she was being worshiped, devoured, owned.
“Say my name,” he demanded, voice rough with need.
“Alexander…” she moaned.
He growled—actually growled—and sped up. Her body shook with each deep stroke, the sound of skin on skin echoing in the massive room. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him deeper, faster.
His hand found her throat—just resting there, not choking—claiming.
“I dreamed of this,” he whispered, forehead pressed to hers. “Of your moans. Your fire. Your soul.”
Aurora’s climax built fast, sharp, explosive. She screamed his name as it hit, shuddering beneath him.
But he didn’t stop.
He flipped her over, pulling her onto her knees.
“You think I’m done?” he growled.
Then he took her again—harder this time. Her fingers gripped the headboard as her second orgasm tore through her like a lightning strike.
He bit her shoulder again, deeper this time. She gasped but didn’t resist. She wanted it.
She wanted him.
When he finally came, he groaned her name like a prayer, collapsing beside her, both of them drenched in sweat and breathless.
After
Aurora lay still, body buzzing, mind spinning.
He turned his head toward her.
“You’re not human,” he said softly. “You’ll see that soon.”
She rolled onto her side, face flushed. “Is that what this is? You collect supernatural girls and f**k them into submission?”
He actually chuckled. “No. I find one. My mate. And I don’t let her go.”
Aurora swallowed.
“Sleep, kotenok,” he murmured, brushing hair from her face. “Your awakening starts tomorrow.”
