AURORA’S POV I jolted awake, my heart racing as my phone buzzed on the nightstand. Groggy and disoriented, I squinted at the screen, my eyes struggling to focus on the incoming call from an unknown number. I glanced at the 3:16 AM clock and contemplated whether I should let it go to voicemail or answer. Glancing over at Silas’s silent form, I sat up, shaking him awake, the feeling that something or someone important was on the other line.
