I watched as Aurora and her dad embraced, standing off to the side and trying not to interrupt their little family moment. They pulled away, her dad looking her over before saying, “You’re looking great, honey! I haven’t seen you in so long; I almost forgot what you looked like.”
Aurora blushed, her eyes darting to me. “Thanks, Dad. I want you to meet someone.”
She turned towards me, gesturing for me to step forward. I reached my hand out to Aurora’s dad, plastering a smile on my face. “Hello, sir. I’m Silas, your daughter’s boyfriend.”
