Twenty-Four Monday, May 23 Rainbow Bay Marina, Pearl Harbor Naval Station O‘ahu, Hawai‘i Eva couldn’t wait to see her family. She’d had an ache in her heart ever since leaving them on Roatán. Now she waited alone in anticipation of their reunion on an old bench between the Navy marina’s dock and the parking lot. The dock was lined with large sailboats and motorboats, owned mostly by retired Navy personnel. The bay was calm, and tall buildings spotted the skyline on the opposite side.
